I think every loyal Slough supporter has been astounded by the efforts of Scott, and no doubt others, in their efforts since taking over. Injuries, leavers, suspensions, and icing on the cake this week - cup tied.

in Scott we Trust

Absolutely no issues with Scott as he has performed miracles to get the squad together in very difficult circumstances and giving the fans outstanding communications, this is greatly appreciated by the fans.

A model that others could follow.

Getting back to football matches, DonnyNo6 said in one of his posts above that it is supposed to be warmer by Wednesday and Thursday!  Well, it's Friday now and still bloody freezing !..........And what a frost here this morning [I'm about 4 miles from Arbour Park,as the crow flies].

How's our pitch at the moment?

Any player news?

But we were told you can’t just clear a pitch like ours, any snow or ice has to thaw?

You have to be very careful to only remove the snow and not the rubber crumb underneath, which makes it a more painstaking process. It can’t just be brushed off.

Didn’t think it’ll be on considering the amount of local postponements, was just surprised the club appeared so confident it would be. But it could work in our favour now Taunton have to make the long midweek trip.

The clubs youth teams did train on the pitch from 9 this morning, but the frost wasn’t clearing as quickly as last week.

An official referee pitch inspection was done at about 9.30 to allow Taunton to know whether to start their long journey. Personally I think if the opposition had been more local & the inspection was a few hours later it wouldn’t have been called off.

I think it might be the first time the club have had a match called off at Arbour Park, so it is disappointing.
