New Signings

We are expecting a couple of signings to be announced today albeit one is only a temporary loan signing and a striker by the end of the week after he's played or been a sub in the NLS tonight.

Looking at tonight's games the clubs local to us travelling wise and the side this striker will probably come from are Farnborough, Hemel and less possibly, Oxford City and Dulwich.

Farnborough are on the verge of making another signing so my guess is the striker could well come from them.

I agree it’ll be a local club but the player could also sign from Hampton, St. Albans, Cheshunt or Hungerford? In any case let’s hope he doesn’t get injured or sent off tonight!

Matt Hall from Met Police as a centreback.

AND

Jefferson Louis on dual reg from Thame as a temporary striker signing. Whomever put together the PR for the looking ahead, was being very generous with Louis being "vastly experienced". Even a journeyman striker would be a stretch. He has played for 40 different clubs (41 if he plays tonight) and has been transfered 43 times (44 times as of today) since 1996 when his career began.

Matty is someone I really like. Played with him at two clubs before, did very well. Good age, wants to play step 2 and I believe he deserves his chance. Good athlete, aggressive and also very good on the ball which is what we want from our defenders.

Jeff is just coming in tonight to help out. I had to pick 2 strikers from the 3 teenagers available for us up front and didn’t believe that was going to give us the best possible chance of winning tonight’s game. Jeff is someone who I hope can cause real problems tonight with his physical presence until Elliot is hopefully able to play again at the weekend.

It’s not a long term plan right now!

P.S it’s not Liam Ferdinand.

Good or bad feeling?  😏

Following Scotts post, a bad feeling LOL. I'm pleased its not Ferdinand as whilst he seems fairly decent in the games I've seen him in at a lower level, he has never struck me as someone that could make a major impact at our level.

Sounds good Scott. Pretty sure we saw Matt play v Beaconsfield a few weeks back for Met Police but can't for the life of me find a team sheet anywhere to confirm it.

Looks like Scott is doing good work putting the team together with the limited resources at his disposal.

He is also keeping us very well informed, even more than Neil and Jon if that is possible!

However there is continued silence from off the pitch, I take this silence is due to the mega deal being done to secure a top level funding package from a new backer, this will then give Scott the funds to bring in the big name player's.

Come on Sir Rebel, its only been 12 days since the board put out their statement and there has been 2 weekends in that time as well. What on earth would you expect them to say? I think its fairly unreasonable to expect to have a statement put out every week to say (probably) nothing. I'm sure once there is something to say, the board will do so.
