Guy Hollis departs

Gutted to see Guy go but had a feeling he would once Bakes and Unders resigned. He's a brilliant signing for Bracknell and I wish him all the best in his football career and his life in general. To me he was 100% reliable and among the best signings Jon and Neil ever made for our club. Slough's team/squad need a freshen up but I was hoping Guy would have stayed but these things happen and Slough will have to adapt without him.

Not overly disappointed. All the best Guy and good luck at Bracknell.

Bracknell Town are a club going forward and probably more conveniently located for Guy.

I am very disappointed to see him go as in addition to his character and general play, his long throw-ins were spectacular at National League South level and as good as a corner.

But it might prove to be an exciting move both for Guy and Bracknell Town FC.

Saturday 21st January : Hayes & Yeading United v Bracknell Town ... but Rebels are at home to Dulwich Hamlet!

Shame to see Guy go as when Scott took over I had a list of 7 players plus him and Lee that I would be disappointed if they left due to their quality and ability and Guy was on that list, HOWEVER, I think there will be some good news this morning and an evolution from Neil and Jon's squad is very much needed as lets not forget, as brilliant as Guy has been over the years, he was part of the squad that has been in such bad form, so some new faces are needed and I suspect Guy dropping down also suits him as well. Good luck to him.

Nearly half way through the season, not sure an 'evolution' will do us any good in our battle for survival.

As usual getting the right players in is key and won't be easy.

Doesn't matter what you call it RR, evolution, revolution or just a change up of some personel, the current squad needs freshning up and so far with Ben and Guy both having left, and some new replacements on the horizon, I think the moves made thus far will see an improvement overal.

I replied to C'est la vie, four posts above.

Somehow, a blank got posted as well!

I've got you.

I mentioned Hayes & Yeading United v Bracknell Town being on the same day as Slough Town v Dulwich Hamlet. My season ticket makes the decision!

Time will tell SF.

Not easy getting the right players in at short notice but we'll see.
