At least i am remembered you old soaks i feel all emotional,as if i cared, come on Leyton we will rise never fall, and we have our own ground and burger bar and our seats are our own and dods dont poop on our pitch.

Dogs don't poop on our pitch either, mate.

Have you seen our facilities lately....New perimeter fencing, new walkways, new seated stand ,new covered terracing behind the goal, new turnstiles.

You see my drift, we don't buy second hand seats in auctions (.Leyton-style.).

Finally, when you say Leyton will rise....Well only so far....If the team gets too good, the chairman's son won't get into the side...and we can't have that, can we.

So i think you've found you niche in Ryman div1...especially as youv'e got hardly any supporters.

Sorry meant dogs at least i own up to my mistakes,i thought you wanted to hire your seats and pretend you bought them, at least our seats have some history and Leyton fans have actually sat on them at Wembley cup final v Walthamstow avenue, we have a history you dont you are a parasite living on a host club when your boggy pitch gets called off come and have a drink in our magnificent new facilities and take in a Rymans premiere game next season thats if we dont go all the way and end up in conference south.

Ahh....Trophy wins at Wembley....conference titles...we've seen them all.

Our bums have been on those seats a lot more often than yours over the years.

Walthamstowe Av....My uncle used to play for them in the 60's...one of the only teams to rival the mighty Enfield,at the time.

You must have played them long time ago....they went out of existence 20 years ago.

Hollie.....Are you suggesting that Walthamstow Avenue 2000 have a 'blood-line' from Walthamstow Avenue.

Does that apply to Enfield fc and Enfield town fc.

Nope.

Note the name - formed after Walthamstow disappeared. RIP. Not at the SAME time....

EFC died the day they left Southbury Rd. RIP.

The difference is,we had the forsight to lay foundations for an Enfield 'resurrection' BEFORE the inevitable happened.

As such the fanbase and spirit stayed in tact...instead of being whittled down and demoralized ,as it would have been with the slow lingering death that was so obviously going to happen.

Strictly speaking I think Walthamstow Avenue do still exist - the original one, I mean, in a much amalgamated form.

If memory serves, Leystone and Ilford merged to become Leytonstone/Ilford. They then went to groundshare for one or two seasons at Walthamstow Avenue, before again merging to form the snappily named Leytonstone/Ilford Incorporating Walthamstow Avenue. Was that the longest ever name in non-league, I wonder? Was the least popular supporter in football the one who started up "Give us an L...."

Anyway, L/I inc WA changed their name to Redbridge Forest, went to groundshare at Dagenham, then of course merged with them to form the present Dagenham and Redbridge.
