Looking Ahead out on the website and a welcome to the team for 28 days to Yousef Chentouf on loan from Wigan. 18 years old, 5 foot 10 striker. Good to see some positive news on the injury front (apart from Goddard) as well.

Lets hope for a positive result against once again a team that seems to have picked up form just before we play them!!!

With Harris and Benyon back from injury and Matshzi and Kayani in the squad one can only assume this 18 year old loan signing striker from Wigan is totally different to what we already have.

Funny how things change, from having more midfielders than you can shake a stick at we now have Goddard injured, Hunt picking up a pre match injury, Lench suspended and Aaron Kuhl only just making a return from injury tomorrow.

I wonder if the new loan signing is down to Scott’s contacts through his day job? If so then he could have a wealth of contacts. I wonder if Scott would mind updating us regarding player activity? In relation to if we should expect any departures and of the many young players he has his eye on, any developments on this front?

Good evening! Youssef actually came through a contact of Bakes. He trained last night and looked very good so I’m hopeful he will be a useful addition.

In terms of departures, none as of yet, and please don’t read into that as of yet part! As you can imagine, there’s a bit of uncertainty around the place at the moment but people are working hard behind the scenes to do what’s best for the club so I’m hopeful we can have some positive news on that front soon.

We’ll do our best to keep this squad together because we feel as though this group aren’t far away from being a very good side in this league.

I’m hoping you can all get behind the lads tomorrow and create that Arbour Park atmosphere that we all enjoy!

Thanks for all the kind messages Togs and I have received too. Hope we can do you proud!

Totally agree Slough Flyer  Eastbourne have 5 wins and a draw from the last 6  including that win away at Ebbsfleet but all good runs end in an off day so lets hope we can pick something up from this one!

I was fairly optimistic before the KO and felt we could get a draw which would have been a decent point. If that wasn’t attainable I hoped it would be a close contest and a loss by the odd goal. Never expected to get thrashed and more disappointing is how easy some of their goals were, we got so opened up at times. For me the only positive was Kuhl coming on as he was everywhere and gave us a little spark. Shame the other 10 couldn’t match his input. Dread to think what the score will be if we play like that next weekend at the league leaders… we desperately need some new faces but realise how tough that will be.

Well done to the commentary team, positive to the end, but the result was not a surprise as Scott and the boys have to rebuild the on pitch structure and this will take time, whilst dealing with all the noise from the off the field side of things.

Give the boys a chance and bear with these results - how would you feel being in their position at the moment.

Correct for Scott to come off the pitch and manage the dugout to watch what is happening, but we could do with his skills on the pitch as well - catch 22 situation.

Totally agree SirRebel. We have to be as patient as possible for, IMO, at least the next month to the new year to allow Scott to get a handle on everything. The month of December would be a tough month on fixtures if we had Pep or Klopp in charge so a guy who is new to management its going to be doubly tough.

We as supporters have to give him and the boys as much support as possible (whilst still being realistic when it comes to effort and performance, as I don't believe they should get a totally free pass of course).

Its going to be a tough job for Scott, and he needs the best we can give him in terms of support and patience, as I think there is some positives to take from today even with the result. Hopefully each game will allow Scott and the team to learn and develop as we all know we have talent in our side. Time for all of them to step up and show how good they can be.

I was also confident going into this game and thought we started ok, especially using a new formation and we were missing our regular 3 midfield players from the start in Lench, Kuhl and Hunt.  Positives were Davies on set pieces, would love to see him on them more often.  Gabe has a great delivery with his left foot and will get more confident the more he plays as long as he plays further forward.

I am quite supersticious! I reckon we should try kicking the other way first half next home game!  I have eaten enough lucky bacon burgers in my time! now after Hanwell it has turned into a lucky kebab but not many grounds do kebabs annoyingly!

The declared attendance was 573 so no damage done to usual attendance that some expected.

In a way I was disappointed with the attendance. With us winning last Saturday and ending a long winless run, the permanent appointment of a popular player, no PL matches and the entry deals I was hoping around the 700 mark. But after the result/performance maybe it’s best the crowd was only ‘average’.

On the plus side We were one of 5 teams either in or flirting with the drop zone who all lost so no damage done to our position

Yes but we play the league leaders next and being realistic not many of us would be expecting any points from that.
