Scott Davies / Lee Togwell

Scott named as new manager with Lee as his assistant.

Manny leaves the club at the same time

Good chance for Scott to cut his teeth in management and we know what Lee can do in this type of role already. A very solid, steadying appointment.

Good luck to the pair of them in their upgraded roles.

Firstly congratulations to them both as it’s undoubtedly a popular appointment. I’m just surprised there was no interview process for other candidates (unless there was someone please shout). Financially it’s obviously the cheaper option as they’re both already on the wage bill. Don’t get me wrong I’m very happy with this appointment, just expected 2-3 weeks of names being linked, interviews (including Scott/Lee/Manny) then an announcement of who got picked.

I returned from holiday this evening and rang my friend Atma in Hounslow to enquire if he is coming on Saturday and to advise him that it is a 1 pm kick off. He said he will be coming.

Later, I read the statement from the board and emailed it to Atma and asked him to bring along as many of his family as possible!

I have a very special and unique train trip on Saturday with my late godmother's younger son - the Medway Valley Christmas Pullman to Strood where we once both lived in our childhood days.

So I won't be at Arbour Park on Saturday to cheer on Scott and Togs in their first home match since their appointments but CONGRATULATIONS to them both and I will try and add some extra noise at the Concord Rangers match on Tuesday week.

As you're a season ticket holder Shredding, you are still there in spirit, so have a good trip.
