A last chance this season to progress and raise some decent cash and I believe we shouldnt go into the game feeling underdogs  Hanwell had some excellent results earlier this season but have hit a bad patch Their last six league games have resulted in 5 losses and a draw Their last 2  league games were losses at home and their excellent keeper broke a leg quite recently  so lets all try to attend this game and cheer the Rebels into the next round!

Not sure any of us would say we’re underdogs! Not saying we’re expected to win but I’d be disappointed if we didn’t progress even if it meant a replay. Plus decent prize money it’s vital we win at least a couple of rounds. Hopefully the fans will come out in force for this one.

Weather forecast is ok for the next couple of days and Hanwell's pitch was in excellent condition last week so I would be surprised (unless something really dramatic happens) if there will be any issues.

Hanwell have done very well in recent years, has it been the same manager who has got them promotion? If yes then I think he should be a candidate.

Hanwell Town FCs ground has come a long way in the last few seasons 👍 Cover at both ends of the ground now 👍 Lots of new facilitys around the place 👍 and also the bonus of maybe seeing the ex Brentford FC legend Sam Saunders pulling the strings in midfield for Hanwell Town FC 😀 👌

Enjoy 👍

Chris Moore is the current (and promotion getting) manager at Hanwell. Technically the same manager but when they got promoted he was a joint manager with Wayne Carter. Carter then left to manage Chertsey and got the sack for non-footballing reasons recently (fell out with the chairman from what seems to have been said).

Moore is a good manager and has got a decent side together in his first single manager season. He would be worth talking too if he is interested, not managed at this level so far, but I'm sure could adapt. Wouldn't be my first choice, but wouldn't be a negative move if he came in.

I think we should be looking at up and coming young managers as even if we wanted to we couldn’t afford an experienced manager at our level or above (except for Hungerford’s manager possibly).

Agreed, but you never know. The guy I have in mind (my leading choice) would fit that mould.

any idea what parking is like at the ground or nearby?

Rank average BR. There is quite few business local and I suspect they will be opened up for a good crowd. As has been said, Hanwell are a good club and are well prepared and run, so I'm sure there will be sufficent on the day,

We came up against Chris Moore and Wayne Carter when they played for Uxbridge.

Looking at his CV, Moore's first managerial role was at Egham in season 2017/18 along with Wayne Carter which lasted only half a season.

He then disappeared for a few seasons coming back in 2021/2022 to lead Hanwell Town to promotion.

Just wondering if Hanwell have some money man backing them.

Brilliant result and pretty decent performance. We’ve ended the hoodoo and in style! This was a potential banana skin but in the end it’s a comfortable win even more rewarding playing with 10 men for 35 minutes. I didn’t see what Lench did but unfortunately the officials did… not what our threadbare squad needs to lose another player to suspension (I’m guessing 3 matches?). Plus I hope the injury to Goddard isn’t that bad. So some much needed funds into the club with that win and hopefully we’ll get a kind draw in the next round. But we do desperately need some players in still and hopefully they’ll be some positive news regarding that this week. Finally it was lovely to see the togetherness of the entire team when we scored and at the end.

Im not usually one for predictions before matches on here, HOWEVER, with the new era dawning at the club and having seen Hanwell 3 times this year (once 10 days ago v Merthyr), I'm going to go out on a limb and say we will win this won, be too strong for them and actually win 3-0.

Please supply tonights lottery numbers ASAP.

And a tranche of more than useful players seemingly happy to cup tie themselves by playing for Slough.
