Jumped ship? Are you on a wind up?

Nearly 10 years they served with honour and jumped ship is what you say?

Wow! Rather than speculate perhaps just keep quiet because there are many reasons behind this decision and they have had no choice but to draw a line in the sand.

The club should be ashamed of themselves to be honest!

What ambition??? We’re going the same way as Hungerford.

'The club should be ashamed of themselves'

'We're going the same way as Hungerford'

All sounds very negative for a person who professes to always have a glass half full.

By what you say you know what goes on behind the scenes, either that or you're a know all that knows nothing.

You are nothing more than an inflammatory hemorrhoid RR who completely nit picks parts of statements to suit their agenda. I’ve said to you before I know more than you know!

Now the reasons I am on this forum have left the club I will be leaving the forum too as my support for the negative comments towards their team is no longer needed.

Good luck to the new permanent regime, they are going to need it!

Resulting to childish insults doesn't do much for your credibility.

It's no good saying you know more than we think you do because unless you can substantiate it no one believes you.

This morning I still feel as gutted as I did late last night when I first saw the sad news.

Always knew that this time would come, but always thought it would be a case of Bakes' and Unders'  moving up and on to bigger footballing challenges.

Very sad that our two fantastic manager's have left in a manner that I'm sure is not the way they would have wanted to or expected to.

Wherever they go next, that club and its fans are going to be extremely fortunate to get two genuine gentlemen who will always be regarded as Slough Town legend's.

Will seem so strange watching The Rebels without you in the dugout.

Thank you Bakes' and Unders' ( and Trent) for all that you've done for our club over the past years.

So many unforgettable memories.

I fully concur with this post, very grateful for their contribution to our club.

We dont know what goes on behind the scenes, just a shame they didnt resign in the summer or wait until end of the season to get us out of this slump.

If just to take time off and no other club involved, I would have liked them to have stayed and stuck this out with us.

Not a dig, just my thought...

Fair comment, but somtimes things can get too much and you have no alternative.

They are only human and they need to maintain their sanity and wellbeing.

We don't know what goes on off the pitch, but I am sure Neil and Jon have very good reasons.

If you are still seeing posts WR, good luck and all the best for the future. Always a shame when people don't want to continue to discuss the club on here.

One of those things and too be honest more people should have your view of not liking it so leaving it (much like when people moan and complain about comedians they dont like, but still watch everything they do to moan and complain, just switch it off and dont watch).

All the best.

My reading of Wycombe Rebel's post was not that he didn't want to discuss the club on here, but that he only followed the club due to the managers, and as they have left so will he...

Will always get people that are here just for individuals, players or staff. That's inevitable and understandable. Family and friends should be welcomed and encouraged. When their "reason for being here" moves on so will they. To any in that boat now, thanks for being part of the ride, and all the best.

To those who the club mean more than that, it's hard at the moment, but change always happens at some stage. When I moved away 25 years ago, things looked very bleak. Sutton away with a new squad of 16 including 2 keepers, was interesting. The dark days eventually gave way to an exciting journey. That journey will continue, none of us know exactly the route it will take, but we need to remain hopeful. I may not make it back much these days but trust me I'm shocked/hurting too.

Slough Town till I die...

Just read the joint statement but it doesn’t tell us anything new unfortunately. I was really hoping the club would reveal some information on the current financial situation and what the plan is going forward? Reading between the lines it’s obvious the ‘ambitions’ of Neil and Jon don’t align with those of the club. It could have been a situation where the club have or are about to cut the budget. If we need to play at a level below to keep the club alive then so be it but please can one of the directors please inform us fans who are the clubs largest income streams!

Grandad, you don't make many posts but this one is to the point and spot on.

I just read it that to enable the club to have a decent season and have a chance at competing in the play-offs more money is needed.

This is obviously the same at the majority of non league clubs in the current financial state of the country.

Teams/managers/clubs will just have to reign back their hopes and ambitions until things improve with the economy.

On income streams I would guess it's only gate/bar/food, sponsors, 500 club and what the Trust contribute.

Seems like WR was only here to protect our managers from any flack from supporters.

So around 4k a week for the entire squad and management? Sounds about right although I would say ours is a bit higher than that (another reason their manager may be tempted…).

I don't know the answer to that one Glen, but you would hope so, that burger bar at Hungerford alone pays for three of their players wages weekly.  TBF it was a decent burger and they promote it heavily on social media.

I was simply dividing £165 by 40 weeks. Based on 25 people that’s around £165 each a week which must surely be the smallest budget in the league?

Not had the chance yet to sample their burger but it must be pretty damn good if it can pay £20,000 a season in wages!

I'm sure a few attendees turn up for the burgers than to watch the football match ! Reminds me of the Dulwich Hamlet scenario ie beer/social club.
