Bakes & Unders Resign!

Wow just seen this and I was only thinking earlier today that this may happen. I wonder if they have something else lined up or just feel they can’t take the club any further which would be entirely understandable. It’s a sad day it’s come to this and I wish them all the best and thank them for everything they’ve done for the club.

Massive thanks to both Neil and Jon for their time at the club. The have taken us to a great level and provided some of the best times in the past 10 years or so.

Shame it had to end in this manner, but unfortunately not a shock at all. When you look at their twitter feeds since the weekend you could see with none of their normal posts after the game, something was afoot and I actually expected this announcement over the weekend.

All the best to both of them in the future, legends at Slough and always will be.

Not the way I wanted to see our managers leave. I wish them all the best whatever they do next but I'm gutted to see them go,as they have been brilliant ambassadors for the club, great man managers, and nice blokes on and off the field.  Certainly will be a hard act to follow.

This has really put the cat among the pigeons and could be the catalyst that sees the squad decimated and heading for relegation.

Very sorry to see this news. Great guys who have served the club with honour and distinction. They were a breath of fresh air when they walked into the club and have always been so open with the fans. They will be greatly missed. Wish them all the best for the future.

Send for McClurg and Withers!

I think there are a number of possibilities that are just as good. Regardless of the finances, quite a few managers/coaches will be interested in this post.

Absolutely gutted but if they have an opportunity at Aldershot they are right to take it with both hands as both deserve a crack at a higher level and that's not happening at Slough for the foreseeable future. Quite angry with what's happening at the club at the minute but I'll keep my thoughts to myself for now.

Although not so great recently, I've enjoyed the last 9 and bit years immensely and have some fantastic memories of those days at Kettering and King's Lynn and two promotions that we don't often get to enjoy as Rebels fans. Wherever they end up I wish them every success and I have no doubt they will be a success with the right backing. Thank you both.

Looking at just our division, the only manager I could see us tempting would be Hungerford’s Dan Robinson.

Interesting but also concerning comment Mark, do you have inside knowledge or is it rumours?

Thanks for all the fantastic memories Neil & Jon…… two unbelievable play-off finals, two incredible FA Cup runs, and four full seasons of being competitive at the current level.

You are both great guys & your communication & interaction with fans is way beyond anything I have ever seen from any other managers.

I wish you all the very best for the future, I am certain you will be incredibly successful wherever you move on to & hope to see you managing in the football league in the near future.
