V Weymouth H 22nd October

Weymouth are bottom of our league  having managed just 2 points from 33 in their 11 league games so far  but that mustn't imo be in our mindset on Saturday  This month theyve beaten both Welling and H&W to progress in the FA Cup and in the last week have signed two forwards Josh Oyinsan who has been playing for Dumbarton but has lots of experience at our level and Mitchell Parker  from Farnborough  This has the potential to be a banana skin if we dont give them full respect They will be bouyed by their cup successes and well up for it  We need a win to lift ourselves after 180+ goalless minutes and 2 consecutive losses  We know we have the talent in the squad to win this one We need to get back the belief!

We have a good record I think against them at home so I'm confident

Lets hope your confidence is well placed   Weve played 6 and won 3 home games Last win was 3-0  in November 2017  A game played in steady rain in front of a crowd of 900+.

Interesting addition to the squad in Portuguese attacking wide player Brandon Aveiro.

Reading his CV he was at the Crystal Palace Academy and was tipped for big things when signing a pro contract in 2018.

Struggled to replicate his promise with the under 23's and was released without making an appearance for the first team.

Joined QPR but didn't make the grade and was released.

Third week running we've comfortably beaten. This time at home against 10man bottom team. A brief flurry after the substitution should not gloss over the fact that for 90% of the game we were easily second best.

Forget the playoffs if we carry on like this we'll get relegated.

Not seen a game for a while now for varying reasons but 3 defeats in a row and even the most optimistic of fans will struggle to predict us getting anything from Dartford on Tuesday which on paper is the toughest of the recent 4 games. Problem is what can be done? There’s no budget to go and sign decent players unless we ship out a few higher earners. But it’s a gamble and no guarantees any new player will be better.

Very hash Nathan, we were the better side and deserved the win, the ref never gives us a penalty, the players worked very hard, - now what are the other Spencer Day excuses?

Which game did you go to today Sir Rebel? It clearly wasn't the Slough v Weymouth one?

We were rubbish for the first 60 minutes, decent for 15 minutes after the substitution and then 2 of the most brain dead bits of play by Matt Lench cost us at least a point.

1st - Lench could have just headed the ball away from the winger but tried to bring it down/let it go and then does his normal thing of hoping the rest of the players bail him out, 3 passes later we are 3-2 down to  the team bottom of the league that hadn't (before today of course) won a game!!!!

2nd - 94th minute - 9 men in the box and Lench decides the best thing to do is to have a shot from 25 yards out with his weal foot.

A genuine question for those behind the goal - why at the end of the game did you applaud him? Then he sulks off head down, through the tunnel.

After that performance, Matt Lench MUST be dropped completely from the squad f9r Tuesday night.

As for the rest of the game, 1st half we only created 1 clear cut chance which Josh Jackman blazed over the bar from 10 yards out. The pen looked harsh from where we were sitting but I can see why the ref gave it. Other than that, 1 excellent save from Rhys was all Weymouth created. 0-0 at half time would have been a fair reflection.

2nd half, 1st 15 minutes equally poor and an excellently taken goal from the #2 for Weymouth and something had to be done. Personally I would have taken Lench off, but Goddard has been equally poor apart from the odd flash /game. The strike from the young Wycombe forward 30 seconds after coming on was excellent (possibly own goal from #6?) And we were back in the game. The young Wycombe forward then gives #6 no chance after being booked and we are against 10 men. A brilliant free kick from Scott Davies and we are level and really looking like we would win the game. A few good chances again for 20 minutes but didn't take any of them (AGAIN) then the quality that is Lench hits and once again we have come away with nothing.

Something need to change really quickly otherwise we are going to be in for a long winter!!!!

Agree re Tuesday No team in our league has won more away games! Dartfords last 7 league games have produced 6 wins and 1 draw!

Gutted not to get at least a point from the game.

I thought we were marginally the better side playing some nice football in the middle of the park.

The ref then decides to give what looked like a dubious penalty to give Weymouth the lead and then we proceed to give away the obligatory poorly defended goal to go 2 nil behind giving us a mountain to climb.

Cue a substitution bringing on striker Arnold Matshazi and we pull a goal back with virtually his first touch and we're right back in the game.

Excellent free kick from Scott Davies and from looking beaten we are level playing against 10 men with the momentum in our favour.

Cue the second obligatory poorly defended 3rd goal and we go 3-2 behind and at least a point is chucked away.

For most of the game we were toothless in front of goal but the bottom line is that you cannot defend as poorly as we did and expect to get anything from a game.

Guest Wycombe Rebel

Thought the first half was even to be honest until the very very harsh penalty decision, it’s seems there is a big decision a game going against us at the moment.

2nd half again was pretty even but we just shot ourselves in the foot again, we are just not getting the rub of the green at the moment.

Weymouth are having that new manager bounce, they will get out of trouble so please try to overlook the fact they are bottom as they are in a false position.

Please everyone try not to be to harsh, we have a good squad of players and the 3 defeats on the bounce haven’t effected the league position really surprisingly. Things will turn, have faith!

Liked the look of Arnold when he came on, so strong for someone so young… Ben and Elliott are not far away either, have faith!
