A groundhopper from another Forum was at the St Neots Interior Stadium Iast night:

Eaton Socon 0-1 Rushden & Higham
SSML 1 - Adm £5/£3 Coffee £1 Att h/c 86.

A comparatively easy 1 hr drive up the A1 for me, arriving at 18:50. I liked this ground, decent size car park, ground enclosed with proper wooden fencing, no green mesh here, 2 (different) covered areas behind near goal, Clubhouse behind dressing rooms with an interesting '1966 World Cup' clock on the wall, definitely worth a look. Hardstanding on one side & near goal.
Like the 2nd poster, I saw a team totally dominate & somehow lose. Rushden scored a pen on 51 following a trip in the box and a tame shot was gathered by the home keeper 5 mins later. Those were almost the only two times they got out of their own third with Eaton Socon having 70% or more possession. There were the usual missed sitters, good saves & woodwork hit although R&H defended very well for the most part.
No problems on homeward run & indoors by 10:40.

A groundhopper from another Forum was one of the seven in attendance:

Spartan South Midlands One
Spratleys Meadows, Amersham Town - new tick
London Tigers 5(3) Thame United Reserves 2(2)
F&N Attendance: 7 (official)
An extraordinary game in many ways. I met Spitfire Dave + dog, Sam, on arrival and once the game had started we examined the respective records of the teams, both played 10, both won 2 and lost 8 and with a goal difference of -12 and -18 respectively. Q1 arising...bad defences or bad attacks? After a goal-less 24 minutes of honest toil on the pitch, we both nodded that this was a nailed-on 0-0. Then all hell let loose! We had 5 goals in 19 minutes (Tigers on 25, 36 and 44 and Thame on 32 and 39). How wrong we were. Both teams went 'at it', attacking as soon as they had the ball; no hoof but certainly direct, it was genuinely good to watch. Q2...can they keep this up? Yes, even though we only had two more goals for the home side on 47 and 81. both continued to attack and both sides should have scored more. A really great watch - it reminded me of Hoddle-era Swindon; bugger how many we let in, just score more than them..
Q3...why did nobody ask for any money? There was no paper and the official attendance is my lowest ever at a 'proper' NL game, beating the 8 at Follands in 2018. What a shame because for an evening's entertainment, this was awesome.
Slightly quirky little ground; small car park with a new-ish Clubhouse behind one goal (tea bar inside) and changing rooms down from that. High banking down one side which appears to suggest that a big sideways slope has been corrected at some point. Atop the bank is shelter. No other cover and the whole ground is protected by mature trees.
Home in just about 105min via Beaconsfield/Marlow/Hungerford/Marlborough.
