Oxford City in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying round.

Well, it looked like Plymouth might also have pulled off a win against higher league opposition but it wasn't to be.

Leading 1-0 at half-time but pegged back to 1-1 in the 90th minute.
Oxford City took an early lead in extra time and then sealed the deal in last minute of extra time to win 3-1

I'd have been more confident v the Parkas of Plymouth, but can't really complain about a home tie against a Con S side.    Who we beat a few years ago and are more worried about us than we are about them.   Onwards to a famous win v Orient in the first round.  (I trust).

We need to get through to the second round as I'm not sure I can make the first round if it's on the Saturday.  For our last 1st round proper match (Peterborough, 2008-9 - on a Sunday), I was at a wedding. On the Saturday. So what?  Well it was in the bloomin' Lake District and I couldn't pursuade Mrs Jago to leave at 0600 on the Sunday morning to get down for the 2pm kick off.   We are still together but it was a close call.

Anyway, enough of me.  COME ON YOU URCHINS.

Oxford are a decent side and last time it took a penalty shoot out for the urchins to get through in the FA Trophy i think it was.  Being at home I think will be a help as this tie will be tough but with the experience and quality we have in the squad and the strength in depth I think the lads can win this tie and make the 1st round proper which would be a fantastic achievement and give the lads a chance to possibly face a football league club.

lets see how we get on v Harlow on Saturday first though!
