Because of our early exit and drop zone Farnborough thrashing Swindon Supermarime 5-1 away with only 10 men means we’ll have yet another blank Saturday. Not great when in the form we’re in as it can stall momentum and match sharpness. I think we used up all our FA Cup luck ok those 2 second round appearances and our cup run has been pretty turd like since.

Sometimes its nothing to do with luck Its about thoroughly bad performances!

I was trying to be kind! But on the flip side our league form in the last 7 has been title winning form and with the next 2 both at home (as Farnborough is now postponed) against current 16th placed Hemel and bottom of the table Weymouth we must be looking for 6 points which should put us into the play offs positions.

Glen  I said this several days ago   People dont look at our results in depth Fact is weve lost just 3 league games All  three of our defeats came against teams in the  champions/ playoff group 2nd Havant  4th Chelmsford  and 7th Bath   We are much better than a superficial glance suggests Imo.

And of those 3 defeats, Bath was a freak show, Chelmsford was close and unlucky to lose and Havant in fairness was an off day and we didn’t do ourselves justice.

We were at Hanwell who lost 2-1 to Ebbsfleet. Hanwell deserved their goal for effort but Ebbsfleet looked very good and could have had many more.

I shouldn't get too carried away with Weymouth being bottom of the table.

BW has made a few signings and yesterday it all came good turning over 6th place Welling 3-0 in the fa cup.

Yes they had a decent result today but let’s see how they do in their next league game first. I’m sure more signings will arrive but remember it’ll still be the majority of the same squad that got them to the bottom.

Eastbourne next so will be a good yardstick on any improvement.

I  expect them to be much improved They lost their last league game  0-2 to H&W but Paul Doswell said a draw would have been a fairer result and they were much improved

I think fans get carried away with early season form, while it's good to get points on the board, many results can be a false reading of where a team will finish come the end of the season.

On the Weymouth squad, they've still got some very good players in their squad [regardless of their form]. A great cup win for them yesterday, and they seem to have brought in a new forward, and a rated goalkeeper, and have just signed Ben Gerring a centre back who two seasons ago was playing for Woking. Given that there is also some friendly rivalry between our managers and Bobby Wilkinson,Weymouth's new man in charge, I'm expecting a real hard fought game between the teams, one that we could win but could just as easily go the other way.

I would expect 4 of those plus two from Oxford, Eastbourne, Taunton & Hampton.

I know it's the FA Cup and anything can happen but I can't see Hampton, Eastbourne or Taunton getting through.

Oxford have a good chance but they've got a tricky replay at Plymouth Parkway and then away at Hornchurch if they get through that game.
