Hx 2 Cray 1

cup of tea

Tough game and delighted with the result. Big difference from Tuesday with Herne Bay still adjusting to this league whereas Cray really know what they are doing. Good first goal from Sam , bit of an unfortunate equaliser for them , second half was difficult but I think that Cray ended up being a bit tactical if I can describe it that way but a free kick earned by Liam got Sam the chance and it somehow ended up in the back of the net. Left it late but got the result. Very useful win , Sam , Liam and Ola working hard and good performances all around. Well done Hornchurch

Very different match to the likes of Casuals and Herne Bay. Cray Wanderers knew they wanted to come and get a big result to show who we are in the league and they did that.
Higgins with the first goal , which was a clever finish and then the game just fell flat footed , and that where we conceded that leaky goal that we keep letting teams do , where as  on another day we would not concede the goal. Second half was super frustrating and the referee wasn’t on our side throughout the entire match , cray just sat back and try and hold on to a point and they did that until the 89th or 90th Minute in stoppage time and that’s how you do it , a Higgins deflected free kick. And I think we needed that test yesterday as we will have games like that for likes of Billericay, Folkestone, potters bar, Aveley and Horsham.
but I’m my opinion that is how you will win a league title, I know it early to say but winning like that in a frustrating second half and the last minute of a match , that’s how you get it done. Great Result,
now we move on to a local derby in the cup at home , hope for a big turn out , Up the chins
