I can only speak on what I've seen. He was very poor in a game that Beaconsfield should have won. Totally agree with you in the inspirational merits of playing for Beaconsfield, but on what I saw of him last year for Hayes and Farnborough he didn't look anything like good enough for our level.

Seeing Beaconsfield on Saturday and Monday next week so will be interesting if Minhas is out and he starts, if there will be any spark there.

SloughFlyer,I'm going to try and get to Beaconsfield's game on Saturday, too. I'm interested to see what they are like. When you saw the match between Beaconsfield and Harrow Borough what was your thoughts on Harrow Borough's attacking midfielder Billy Leonard? He seems to be banging in the goals currently and getting a lot of praise for his performances.

He was all over the pitch. Very lively and the 2 goals from open play he scored were excellent outside the box strikes low and in the corner. (3rd goal was a pen to complete the hatrick so meh). Covered quite a lot of ground going forwards and for a smaller guy didn't shy away from tackling. Decent 90 minutes for him all in all and I believe he scored Harrows winner last Saturday as well.

If you do make the game, come and say hello. Dad and I will be on the back row of the standnas normal at Beaconsfield?

SloughFlyer, I didn't get to the Beaconsfield game. Noticed the home side lost 0-2 to Poole ,and that Dobbo was in the starting eleven and that Elliot Buchanan was sub. Did you go, and what was the two sides like on the day?

Beaconsfield poor on the day and under performing IMO. Poole huffed and puffed for quite a while at 1-0 after a fantastic lobbed volley from former Dorking player Wes Fogden inside 10 minutes. Neither team really created much at all and then in injury time Poole's right winger beat about 4 players cutting in and finished very well across the keeper for 2-0. On the balance, I'd say Poole were good for the win, but neither side looked great.

Dobbo started and didn't look anything like the Dobbo we know and love. It was very obvious he hasn't played much football recently.

Will be interesting to see how Beaconsfield get on Monday PM vs Hartley Wintney, as a team that are below them (much as Harrow were) they really should be looking for 3 points. At the start of these 3 games (Harrow, Poole and HW) I thought Beaconsfield could get 9 points, thus far drawn a blank!!!!!!!

Cheers for the reply SloughFlyer, it makes interesting reading. With Beaconsfield's results, I don't suppose it's helping them in the short term by chopping and changing players.Every match seems to feature a new player in the team, so far a lot of ex Slough ones !

I saw the attendance was only 131 which is awful considering Slough weren't playing. I thought they would top 150 especially now they have a few well known players from non league football in their ranks. I definitely will get over to watch them at some point [once my car is sorted].

Attendance is always a bit "weird" there. Some games we go to thinking there would be no one there and there is a decent crowd and others it's rubbish. We got thee at 2.25 and parked 1 row from the turnstiles in the car park and there were 3 cars in the road outside after the game. Poole to Beaconsfield in the cost of living situation and everything else going on, probably not the most attractive fixture and there was probably 20-30 away fans there (very rough guess), add at least the Slough chairman, programme seller and Dad and I, but very little "ground hopers" and that might explain things.

I would say their fan base is maxed out at 100 (and that's probably optimistic).

Tonight will be interesting with not a massive amount of local football about and HW being fairly close and quite well supported, will probably be fairly decent (for Beaconsfield) at 150-180 would be my guess.

As for the performances, in a fairly poor division, Beaconsfield will certainly have to up their game over what we have witnessed so far or they will fond themselves in trouble really quickly. The bottom 6 clubs on Saturday had 5 points each and Beaconsfield only have 9, so very early doors but a slippery slope could await if they aren't careful.

Sean Fraser has signed for Bracknell.

NB - Only put this post here as it seemed relevant to the conversation about Beaconsfield.

Just seen a post by IrishAdrian on the FA Trophy thread, and how bizarre is the fact that Bracknell and North Leigh are playing each other in the next round, so Sean Fraser could find himself battling it out with Dobbo in this match ! You couldn't make it up !
