Hi RR.

I can understand your reasons for not buying any away match programmes anymore, but I'm still "gutted" if I go to a game and don't get one.

I'm not looking forward to the day when they all go on-line, which I fear is coming.

My match day experience wouldn't be the same !

On the programme situation, a few seasons ago when we played Basingstoke was one of the first online progs we encountered. According to the guys that day they had taken the decision to go online as with minimum ordering etc it had cost the club £7500 the year before in losses.

Whilst I agree about the progs in the traditional sense HR, I also see the time coming quickly when they will be a thing of the past.

Braintree where they're for the taking yesterday and they may say the same about us, but the last 20 mins their defenders where shattered, probable fa cup replay causing some of that mental and physical exhaustion.  If I recall correct the CB even tripped himself up whilst trying to clear the ball when being hunted down as he ran towards the bi line.

They subbed the 3 as he was going to end up getting sent off as he was making poor challenges and decisions, probably should have already had a second yellow prior to being subbed.

I can imagine on their day the two wingers causing havoc as both fast and technical, the 11 Clemons did very well in the build up to their goal.  I bet that 9 Amantchi could not score that goal again if he had x amount of exact chances but scored it so fair play to him, other than that he did nothing of relevance.  Dandy and Hollis gave him a good physical game.

Rhys pulled off a worldie for us 1 on 1, there was an occasion when their own player headed just wide whilst the goalie was routed to the spot, I thought that was going to be the moment for the second goal.

Both teams lacked clinical display in front of goal and in the final third play.

Another set piece goal for Slough ?

The incident where the CB tripped himself up was given as a foul by the linesman. Admittedly he was adjacent to the "foul" so had a much better view, but from where I was standing it appeared a joke decision.

As for Dan Roberts' performance I thought he did well (the one-on-one chance aside). MOM for me was Lenchy, who was at the heart of lots of good stuff, including the free kick (won by himself) which Ben headed home. Rhys Forster was once again impressive, one great block.

Lots of positives. Ben Harris played 90 minutes and a goal, Lee Togwell another excellent performance in his best position imo, our CBs despite not being the tallest acquitted themselves well against their basketball sized striker. On another day we'd have taken all 3 points, but before the game I'd have settled for one!

That is a disgrace. A discount!!!!! They should have 100% free use of the coach if they are going to commentate on the game for fans that can't make the trip.

Fair play to the lads that have stepped forwards and hopefully they will catch the bug for it and be able to provide those that need it as good (if not better?) commentary than before.

Nothing new, when my unemployed son William was helping with the radio, producing article's for the program and publicity materials he did not even get a pass to home or away games.

It was me who subsidised the production of the program.

Sometimes the good will of fans is taken for granted.

Looks like the reason is... there is no coach
