Hampton and Richmond H 3rd Sept

I expecting/hoping that home advantage and a decent crowd will edge this one for us  Hampton have underperformed based on their start of season expectations W1 D2 L3 although their only win was a 4-1 away victory at Tonbridge  They've  5/18 points  compared to our 7/18  I hope we are able to announce an injury free squad  The Hampton social media contains several  stories of players not totally fit. The debacle at Bath will I'm sure have fired up enough players to show that was the kind of fluke every season throws up once or twice I'm not expecting a Slough defeat.

Must be injuries as I can't believe after pre season and 6 league games players aren't fit.

Still, if it's in the papers it must be true.

I'm expecting a very even game with just the odd goal separating the teams.

A win anyway it comes will do for me but I see tomorrow as more of learning from and wiping out the uncharacteristic mistakes of Bath, just a good solid performance will do.

North; Jackman Hollis Togwell Wells; Lench, Kuhl, Davies, Goddard; Harris, Benyon

Probably correct RR  I read it as not fit to play I.e. getting over a knock etc.

Bit concerned about the CB positions with Edon now gone and Joe injured and out for at least another 1/2 weeks.

Guy and Lee will need some protection in front of them and someone who can help in clearing balls into the box from corners/free kicks.

Will Ryan feature?

lets get the three points.

I think it's already been announced that Ryan Bird will be staying at Windsor for a while longer.

We need to look at last weeks disastrous defensive performance as a one off.

An excellent and honest report on game from Jon although he clearly thought it was a poor game There's  a big difference imo  between a poor team and a team that's played poorly  Gary McCann almost distraught in his match report clearly expecting much better performances recently from his team and upset that set pieces cost them  I'll  happily take 3 points from that kind of game and look forward to struggling Dover.

I was very surprised that Jon thought that it was a poor game. My friend and I both gave it 9 out of 10 and felt that Hampton & Richmond Borough were very unlucky to lose having looked the slightly better team and taken the lead in the 72nd minute according to the scoreboard. But we were both pleased with the three points!

9/10 ???

I'd hate watch a game that you rate a 4/10 !!

Strange defensive line up with Rhys Forster in goal for the absent Jon North, Josh Jackman at left back, Wellsy alongside Guy and Scott Davies in the right back position.

Turgid first half where both teams could hardly string a couple of passes together and not a shot on target in sight.

Second half got marginally better as the half went on with Hampton taking the lead following a simple diagonal ball which Scott Davies, in the right back position, failed to deal with.

After some much needed substitutions we sprung into life with Wellsy and young Imran scoring with two headed goals from excellent crosses into the box to give us the points when a defeat was looking the most likely outcome.

On the day we managed to get away with a re-shuffled back line but against a better side than Hampton we won't be so fortunate.

Having lost Edon Pruti and worryingly Ben Harris coming off yesterday with an injury our squad is looking a bit on the thin side so hopefully much needed reinforcements are in the pipeline.

Think the squad is more than capable and reinforcements are not needed at all… Testament to the strength in depth that we can battle to a win with a re-juggled back 4… Joe Dandy is back in a couple of weeks and Togs can also fill in, we’re fine as we are

You're entitled to your opinion but it seems our managers and I'm sure a lot of supporters disagree you.

We haven't kept a clean sheet yet and we keep giving away soft goals.

Whilst Joe Dandy is an excellent prospect, in a season or two with more experience behind him I'm sure he'll be an even better player.

We got away with a re-juggled back 4 yesterday with two set pieces against a distinctly average Hampton side.

We have a squad in which Edon Pruti was a major player, he's now left us so why wouldn't we look to find a re-placement?

Was Edon a major player? He only started 3 of 6 and I’d say he only got back in because of injuries after being abysmal at Havant.

I’ve not read or listened to anything that says the managers disagree with my view or agree with yours RR.

Why don’t you ask the managers if they are looking for a replacement?

My friend will be 80 this month so he likes to sit in one of the stands. We were a few seats to the south of the half way line in the West Stand. That gave us a very balanced view of the game whereas the first half of the match might not have looked as good from the north terrace.

My friend's wife came to the match yesterday. She is 79 and the first ever football match that she had ever been to was Slough Town v Maidstone United last season. Yesterday was the second football match of her life!

Of course Edon was a major player for us, to say anything different is delusional.

Most of our players were abysmal at Havant, just picking on one game and one performance is ridiculous.

No clean sheets, giving away soft goals for fun, re-jigging the whole back line and playing a left back at center back to cope with the oppositions center forward.

Tells you everything you need to know.
