Recommended Posts

A very sad day which brings things into prospective and shows somethings are more important than our club but hopefuly we can help the family through these times.

My Condolences go to Dave, Rachel & Gemma on the sad passing of dear Luke. His Spirit will live on in others, due to the generous gesture by his family at this very traumatic time that, as many of his organs as possible be given for Donation to prolonng the life other others.

God Bless

Dave, Gilli & Jess

Sincere condolences to Dave, Rachael and Gemma.

Interested to hear about the organ donation. To plagiarise a well-known quotation "Out of the strong came forth kindness!"

The timing of his passing will help the transplant surgeons providing much needed theatre time on a Sunday when the theatres are quieter. Transplant surgery needs a lot of time because of the complexity of the work. These surgeons often work overnight and weekends to get the needed theatre time. God bless their dedication to their work, their hands and benefiting children.

For those that were not able to attend - The Senior Minister from Great Ormond Street Hospital estimated that 200 crammed into the tiny chapel at Lavender Hill Cemetary for the farewell service for Luke Dollemore. Everybody then travelled a mile across the cemetary to Luke's final resting place.

The tributes to Luke from teachers, family and friends were warm, loving and sincere. The flowers were beautiful.

Our thoughts this time remain with his family and friends.

I heard that as a tribute to Luke, Town are to adopt the dolphin as the club mascot and a suit is to be purchased. Luke attended dolphin therapy a couple of years ago so the dolphin was an animal close to his and the Dollimore's hearts. A great idea! to have a mascot around the ground at this level will just be added excitement to our younger supporters. Little Miss Happy will certainly love it as she has also had the same therapy in the States.
