Edon Pruti

So, the inevitable has happened and Edon is off to Brentford.

Have to say it's sickening that a premiership club who pay out millions on player transfers are not willing to pay any sort of fee for a contracted player to a local non league club with very little money.

Ok we might get a sell on fee but there's no guarantee of that happening.

I wish Edon all the best for the future but can't say the same for Brentford.

You mean the Premier League, RR.

I assume that you haven't seen the contract between Slough Town FC and Brentford FC. But it could well have clauses in it whereby Slough Town receive payments when Edon Pruti has made so many appearances.

Brentford website says he's  joined their B team for an undisclosed fee?

Yeah that seems to contradict what Neil said?

True, maybe but those clauses are likely to be first team related which being fair is a long way off and may not happen.

Oi Oi careful now I support the Bees! But yes you would have expected a small fee maybe £5-10k plus a pre season friendly. It seems Edon will need to become a first team regular for the club to have a chance of making any money.

Obviously the contract has something written in it that we could possibly benefit from in the future.

No fee, unbelievable!

And this now leaves a massive gap in the back line which is already leaking goals!

Looks like the 8 game review could make for a very interesting read.

Unfortunately clubs like Slough are held to ransome by clubs like Brentford.

No decent minded club would stop the progress of a player wanting to play at a higher level and clubs know that.

Best wishes to Edon and hope he has a long professional career.

Bit disappointed in Brentford not paying anything up front. As said above ,even a token £5K-£10K would have been nice and in Premiership transfer costs a drop in the ocean.

Exactly bluerebel.

That 'nice friendly club down the road' are as bad as the rest of the money grabbers.

Those of us with long memories will recall Micky Droy joining Chelsea in 1970 after relatively few first team appearances. No fee in those days as we were "amateurs" but there was a pretty decent end of season celebratory friendly if I remember correctly.
