Shredding, why have you started a new Bath thread when there is already one up and running?

Sorry RR, I had not noticed your v Bath City post, probably because there had been a subsequent post to v Cheshunt H Sat 27th Aug which rose above v Bath City.

Why are you apologising SG? You do what you want to do, it hardly matters there is a separate thread.

I always have a good chat with RR on matchdays and am always pleased to clarify with him anything raised between us on this forum.

There was a time when moderators could be relied upon to amalgamate such threads! We had 2 running for Dulwich Hamlet.

Had a great view for their penalty and I may be proved wrong by the replay but for me it was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. Having said that we got back into the game and maybe even shaded the first half but for them to score with pretty much the last kick of the half. The wheels came off in the second half and Bath were very clinical, pretty much scoring with every chance they had. 5-1 was harsh on us but no doubt that Bath deserved the points.

No idea why we went with the grey kit today or why the ref even allowed it at the start, it was a clear clash and a bit embarrassing that we had to borrow shirts from them. Summed up a pretty miserable and expensive away day. Onto the next one!

... and don't forget that the next one is at the Crabble Athletic Ground, the beautiful home of Dover Athletic. It's not near the port of Dover but in the delightful village of River.

More or less agree with all of that Mark. I dragged along 4 of my family with the promise of a day out in Bath with lunch and dinner. Very frustrating game as we had our chances but for a variety of reasons couldn’t put more than 1 away. I’m hoping we’re still pursuing a new striker as we’re just not clinical enough. Then again our defence was split open with ease a few times too so maybe we need to be looking there too! Very disappointing day and you can only hope we win next Saturday to get back on track.

Going by what was hinted in the post match interview we will be looking for a new center back.

“Edon was on the bench but wasn’t an option and this will become apparent in the next few days” sounds to me Edon is off elsewhere.

Certainly looks like it.

If he is off hopefully it's to a club higher up the pyramid and we get a fee for him.

SG

Happened to us in 1997 when we played Leek Town away.

Both teams played in amber/yellow and blue, much worse than yesterday at Bath.

I thought the shirt swap was an absolute farce… both Slough and the ref are at fault.
Surely the ref would know what colours each side are wearing an hour or two before KO? Also Slough know Bath play in Black and white and no one twigged the grey kit may clash? Also why don’t we carry 2 kits just in case these instances occur?

Hi Bonjour.

I've just read the match report for this game in our excellent match history page of the website.

It took place on the 4th October 1997, but the match report doesn't mention any shirt change disappointingly.

( Checking the Leek Town website I found out that they are currently managed by a Neil Baker ! )

While I'm on here does anyone know if the draw has been made for those people who bought a season ticket when a " Flash Sale" was announced back in April ?

The news item dated April 29th said that for "One Day Only" any season tickets people bought on the following day only  would have their season ticket money  refunded if they were fortunate to have their name drawn out.

I read this article and thought a "Flash Sale" meant that season tickets were only going to be available at the price announced for this day only.

It subsequently turned out that this price was available up until June 5th.

I would guess that most people who bought season tickets during this one day "Flash Sale " period would, like me, donate the money back to the club if they were lucky enough to have their name drawn out.

but I'm curious to know if this draw has indeed taken place ?
