A first half where both defenses looked shaky and could have ended up 5-4 if the chances created had been taken and Jon North hadn't made a couple of fine saves.

Two good goals scored by us and one really poor one given away to keep Cheshunt in the game.

Second half was a bit less gung-ho with Johnny Goddard scoring an excellent solo goal to seal the game for the Rebels and deservedly given MOTM.

Overall a decent performance but If we are to have any aspirations of reaching the play-offs we've got to stop giving the opposition soft goals.

Well that was a nice way to start the season for me?.

Thought on the whole it was an excellent performance by pretty much the whole team and I can see why the opposition have been 2-0 down in every game so far.

Very much liked the look of Goddard and Benyon, both worked hard and seem very much suited to the way Neil and Jon play. Ben Harris looked as good as I've seen him for 3/4 years and if he keeps fit could be a massive asset throughout the season.

All in all a very strong performance against a pretty poor side that couldn't finish the chances they did create and defensively looked very poor.

Albury, you are probably right ok the first half showing if you had a forward that could finish their dinner (although you could say the same about our boys in that half as well)

What did you think about the Brain dead #6. Obvious yellow for the first one after an unfortunate slip (it happens), but what did the clown think was going to happen after booting the ball 70 yards after giving an obvious freekick away?

If your manager can't sort out the defensive performance (seeing 2-0 against every game so far so I assume that was a fairly typical one thus far) I think it'll be a very long season for you boys.

He was a silly boy . No need for that and asking for it . As for a long season its a bad start but changes will be made in due course I'm sure. Our chairman and his father won't allow the club to drop as we'll have to play them  Townies again . Now there's a nauseating thought ?

Losing our centre half Crowther to Kings Lynn was a devastating blow as he wanted to go full time pro . Kasserate also a bad loss . It's difficult to replace quality like that . Two or three others look out of their depth and they need replacing. Our manager is a very experienced wily old chap . He has taken us from bottom of step 4 to step 2 in a short space of time. We will turn it round but it won't happen overnight.

I'm assuming that the vast majority of the squad are still those from last year? 100% the right decision IMO to give them a chance as they got promotion, but we have seen both in southern prem and conf. South that many of the players from the lower league just can't hang in the league above.

Will be interesting what changes will be made for Cheshunt as it seemed to me, the manager changed the way you played in the first half at half time and you had far less success in the second half because of it.

The boss is still experimenting with the squad . When I looked at the team sheet yesterday my heart sank to my stomach . I kind of knew what was coming . The clear out starts this week . Have a good season . Hopefully we'd of tirned it round by the time we see you next.
