Hopefully our first league win  will have boosted confidence levels for this one. What a strange start Newly promoted Cheshunt have had  They've played 4 games and in all four have found themselves 2-0 down against H&R they won 3-2 against Dartford Welling and St Albans they lost 2-1  after playing better as the games progressed  Their manager says he doesn't understand why they are slow to settle so maybe we should be pushing on from first whistle  Again I'm expecting at least a point!

We’ve got to be looking for 3 points from this one. Winning at Dulwich should give the players a lot of confidence as they would be one of the favourites for top 7. Cheshunt are punching way above their natural level and as they’re yet to find their feet this is a good time to play them.

I remember noticing some excellent away wins by Cheshunt last season :-

18.9.21 FA Cup : Hitchin Town 0 Cheshunt 3
20.11.21 IL Premier : Worthing 0 Cheshunt 2
27.11.21 FA Trophy : Chelmsford City 1 Cheshunt 2
15.1.22 FA Trophy : St Albans City 0 Cheshunt 3
19.3.22 IL Premier : Folkestone Invicta 0 Cheshunt 4
12.4.22 IL Premier : Bognor Regis Town 0 Cheshunt 2

I won't be looking at the National Leage South table on Saturday morning to try and work out the match scoreline but will wait until I watch the match on Saturday afternoon!

Are you sure they played Chelmsford?

Sorry, the Chemsford City score should have read "FA Trophy" not "IL Premier".

I have now corrected that post.

While there seems to be lots of talk about low attendances for Slough, people seem to have missed low attendances elsewhere. Oxford had 260 for Concord and Dorking only 1150 for their game.

We therefore would like you all to do the club one little thing, using any social media platform, whether Instagram, FB or Twitter, can you please share the details of Saturday’s game, either share , like or retweet. Every little helps , thanks

I hate to be the prophet of doom but it's the last Summer Bank Holiday weekend of the year, nice sunny weather, playing an unfashionable side.

I reckon a crowd of around the 400 mark.

I would hope it’s 500+ otherwise a 3rd successive 400 crowd would be a massive disappointment. I’m sure our home crowds were never this low in previous August whilst at this level?

I understand that my friend Atma is coming over from Hounslow with his grandson Gavin, who returns home from India the day before. So hopefully 2 more spectators!

Could be a sign of the times with the way the cost of living is rising.

And that's without the price of gas and electric going up in October and January.

Yeah I guess so, the sooner the Ukraine war is over the better for everyone.

Excellent result 3 pts 1st home win  We are now 10th with 7 points  So has a team in the playoff group! The first 8 teams in the new table all won today that doesn't happen often! Early days but another season imo with no runaway favorites.
