Thrilled to have another game so quickly after the last. I'm afraid the break following will be a bit of a tough one though stateside I can gorge myself on the first weekend of college (american) football.

A groundhopper from another Forum was at this one last night:

Moulton 5-3 Rugby Borough
SSML1 - Adm £5/£3, Prog yes, Att est 100, Coffee £1

One of the better 4G cages although I'll never like such grounds much. Well marked car park, 3 sided with a covered stand on one side and a modern clubhouse outside the pitch.
Moulton led on 7min with a back heel following some good work down the right and it was 2-0 on 33 after a home forward robbed the keeper and finished from 18 yards into the top corner despite the keeper getting back to his line . Boro pulled one back from close range on 38 and equalised on 49 when the home defence switched off at a free kick allowing an away forward to be played through. It was soon 3-2 with a low finish and 3-3 on 57 with a direct 20 yard free kick low to the keeper s right.
The clincher came on 69 with a home forward rounding the keeper and brought down by the last defender as he was about tap in, leading to a red card & pen duly converted. It was 5-3 soon afterwards and still time for a home player to pick up a 2nd yellow for a foul on the halfway line.
M1 still closed at J15 & indoors at 23:20.

Table is really starting to take shape even just 4 games in. Some clear haves and have nots to this point. Already circling my calendar for the September match between Real Bedford and Moulton!

Ollie Bayliss was in attendance at Elmfields Gate on Tuesday evening so Winslow United are likely to be featured in his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show on Saturday. Former Cheltenham Town, Torquay United, Colchester United, Wrexham and Leyton Orient journeyman striker Dan Holman was the difference who is now plying his trade for Northampton ON Chenecks where he began his career at youth level in 2001:

A groundhopper from another Forum was present, a good win for Buckingham Athletic:

South Midlands Division 1
NORTHAMPTON SILEBY RANGERS 2-3 BUCKINGHAM ATHLETIC
Admission £6.00 No progs tea/Coffee £1.20 each
Attendance 30

After Freaky Friday, normal service was resumed at Fernie Fields with the third of my quickfire treble. Unfortunately the hosts' 100% record was well and truly smashed by the visitors who were much more up for it and after being pegged back from an early lead, seemed to put the game out of sight before Nathan Burrows narrowed the deficit again and a missed penalty basically summed up the hosts' night.
Those in the know probably don't need to use the turnstile. Enter the complex from either the A508 or the adjoining housing estate, walk into the clubhouse and straight through to the pitch, thus saving yourself £6.00 into the bargain. Of course, such immoral goings on should NEVER be condoned (except if you're part of a quartet of 12 year olds who in fairness paid more attention to the game than others I've encountered). Dear me, no.
EDIT - Forgot to say that unlike Friday, I was able to access the southbound A508 for the journey home. And so was everyone else as the M1 was closed.
