Apologies for not highlighting the progress of MiIton Keynes Irish in the competition who have taken MiIton Keynes CoIIege FootbaII Academy under their wing at Youth level, entering the FA Youth Cup. Having received an Extra Preliminary Round bye, MiIton Keynes Irish beat Kempston Rovers 7-6 on penalties in the Preliminary Round following a thrilling 2-2 draw. They were unfortunate to draw Hitchin Town at Top Field in the First Qualifying Round and lost 6-0 although the scoreline flattered the hosts, it did not help their cause to concede the first goal after just 35 seconds of the proceedings and concede again on the stroke of half time after having some good opportunites to get back into the tie when just 2-0 down.
