Have watched the pen shout back on the highlights and can see the contact of the arm across the back and it looked more of a penalty from behind than my view side on, so I'm happy to stand corrected on that. That said, I still think Ben is expecting the contact and his fall exaggerates it slightly, so that's what probably counts against him in the ref/asst ref's view.

Ben does exaggerate it but it's definitely a foul and we all know if you don't go down you don't get the penalty.

The Lench one was without doubt a stonewall.

I would say in general the views given are both positive and negative.

We’re 3 games in, barring the Havant game we’ve played very well with some attacking teething problems.

Bakes & Unders will be seeing the same as everyone else and will sort it out as they have always done.

There is absolutely no point in being negative, the managers will clearly define our inadequacies, they don’t need all us oracles pointing out we aren’t scoring enough goals.

Maybe concentrate on the refereeing decisions a bit more closely. v Tonbridge, Kuhl gives away a penalty they equalise then the exact same tackle on Ben Harris no penalty otherwise it’s 2-1. Last night, 2-1 again if the ref goes to Specsavers.

6 points from 9 and the striking department would be a different story, give Ben Harris and Elliott Benyon a chance to get going before saying that department is inadequate, how do you think they feel if they read this forum? If they do, I hope they don’t give a monkeys but that talk can affect players. Also, it’s not just a striker’s responsibility to score goals, it’s the responsibility of the whole team, ask yourself, have they had the service etc.

CR, this is a football forum where fans discuss all aspects of their club positive or negative.

Players get praise heaped on them when they play well and whether it's by their manager or by the fans they will also get criticized when they don't.

It's part and parcel of being a footballer.

Agree with this, however not sure where your confidence comes from about us scoring the penalties we didn't get awarded!

Hypothetical… My post describes how those games and peoples opinions of our strikers would be different IF the officials had done their jobs correctly.

RR, I know what a forum is for but singling out our strikers isn’t the way forward, it’s a team game. The last 2 games no one has played badly enough for any negative comments.
