Thankfully some cooler weather and hopefully get some points on the board.

Echo that RR   1/9or 2/9 would be assessed as poor by some although I'm  surprised that with only 2 games played only 3 teams have managed to win both!

8 games is the point to take a measure.

Calling for change after 3 games is unrealistic, but a few more points would take the pressure off.

From Jon Underwood's "Squad news : Chelmsford City" :-

"We saw definite improvement on Saturday though from our first game and still believe there is much more to come from this side and will be doing all we can to get the win."

I am confident of those words ... we just need a few thousand of the Slough population to be confident of them as well!

Ref was awful.

1 point from 9 and two of those games were at home, 8 points off the leaders and occupying a relegation spot - not the start we hoping for.

A marked improvement is required or the 8 game review will be painful.

But was the ref awful for both sides? Very disappointing result and I’m sure 1 point from 9 is 4-5 points off where we hoped to be. Yes it’s still only 3 games but it’s starting to feel like we must win 1 of the next 2.

I feared the worst after the opening 15 minutes as they took us apart at will, however we showed spirit and stayed in the game.

Chelmsford knew exactly how to play us by swarming over our back four forcing us to go long.

As usual a team of giants does a number on us at home. Could be a looonnngggg season ahead.

For the first 25/30 minutes we couldn't get to grips with the game, possibly down to Saturday's exertions but Chelmsford were much the better side.

As the half wore on we started to get a foothold in the game and created a couple of chances with Lenchy forcing a terrific save from their keeper and I think it was Toggs heading one over the bar.

Second half was a different story.

We dominated the half from start to finish but couldn't find the goal which imo would have changed the game completely.

It was a half of missed opportunities with the best chance falling to Elliott Benyon who missed the target when put through one on one with the keeper.

No need to panic yet but where the goals are going to come from remains a big concern.

Massive two games coming up.

The positive is we are creating chances but obviously the negative is we don’t have that clinical striker(s) to put them away. A few of us did raise concerns regarding the striking department and no doubt there’s good reason why we didn’t bring in either a proven prolific striker or an additional striker but hopefully our luck will change on Saturday after some intensive shooting practice tomorrow night!

In the Havant and Tonbridge games very few chances were created.

Last night in the second half we created quite a few chances but came up short on making them count.

Not just a few supporters raised concerns, didn't we have a loan striker lined up?

The penalty shout, I had pretty much the same view as the Lino and I could see why they didn’t give it. Only Ben will know if there was enough contact but it looked a dive to me which was disappointing given it was a good opening. That said, when Ben came off I think we lost some momentum that took us until the final knockings to get back. Their second goal felt like one I’ve seen us concede many times before. Hopefully we can take the positives from the game moving onwards.

You can wait until the penalty shout is on the highlights but it is a clear push in his back and not a dive.

In terms of Edon and Fabio no they do not have knocks.

In terms of a loan attacking option then yes we had one lined up, but as is the case with League loans they can sometimes fall through which this did, due to injuries at the parent club, and the lad is now playing in the football league.

I thought that we were outplayed in the first 15 minutes however having gone behind we came back into the game and finished the first half strongly. In the second half we were the better side and did everything but score. We conceded when pushing forward looking for an equaliser.

On the penalty shout, I was level with the incident however on the other side of the pitch. In my opinion Ben was ahead of the defender and looking to shoot when the defender clipped him. It will be interesting to see the video highlights.

The ref did not give us much last night at all, the throw in incident at the end of the first half being a prime example together with the penalty claim.

I am sure that things will turn around soon and we will start to gain points

I've spent a while today reading Chelmsford forum and social media They're  very pleased with the win but know how lucky they were they acknowledge our superiority in the second half  and the number of chances we should have converted Huge praise for Kuhl  who they say is far too good for our level  National league minimum Not often both sides reports all almost the same but they're saying they bossed the early stages then we got increasingly on top and  should/could have won   Just need our first win now to instill some confidence and belief imo.

Having just viewed the highlights just a couple of observations:

I would say we should have had two penalties.

The one on Lenchy was a stonewall penalty and it looked a definite push in the back on Ben Harris.

Although their second goal in the end was meaningless to the result it was a really poor bit of defensive play from us with both Guy and Toggs challenging for the ball.
