Its unclear if he collapsed due to the heat or if it was to do with two players clashing heads a few mins earlier.

Correction - he was not one of those two players who clashed heads.

However it looks like he is making a good recovery.

So it looks like the measures the National League put in place may not have been adequate?

The National League have the cheek to wish Pablo well on the Chippenham twitter feed - it was those MUPPETS that did not allow teams to move the games to a cooler time.

Well first of all I have to say  that I wouldn't have fancied running around for 90 minutes in that heat.

Not even in my prime, which was a long time ago !

There are a couple of topic's I'd like to talk about on here after yesterday's match though.

These are just my thoughts and perhaps nobody else will agree with me.

I don't know but here goes......................

The first one is, I really dislike drinks breaks.

Now I'm not saying they weren't necessary yesterday, as they obviously were, but I think they change the game to a tremendous degree, and not in a good way.

The 2 teams are set up by their respective manager's for the game, and when it kicks off nobody knows who has got their tactic's right.

If manager's get their tactic's wrong, it is usually 45 minutes ( halftime), before they can have a decent talk to the team to rectify what is going wrong on the pitch.

By that time their team could be 2 or 3 goals down.

If they get their tactic's right, they could be  2 or 3 goals up !

How many breaks in play did we have yesterday ?

A drinks break every 15 minutes, plus a couple of "unofficial" drinks breaks when players went down injured.

So many "time outs",  which gave the manager's of both teams several opportunities to counteract what the opposition were doing.

i wasn't surprised at all it ended as a draw.

Just to repeat, I'm not saying the breaks  weren't required, as yesterday they were,  just that in my eyes they ruin the game as a spectacle.

For my second point I will possibly be called naive and simplistic, but I really don't like to see us commit "cynical" fouls.

By my counting there were definitely 2 and possibly 3 occasions when we were guilty of that yesterday, fouling opposition players when they were running away from us with the ball.

Aaron's foul was described as "cynical" in Slough's match day twitter feed, although I thought it might have been accidental.

George's  Hunt's hack down was obviously intentional.

George Wells' one was much worse.

Even though it was near the halfway line and the player wasn't bursting through on goal I thought it was so vicious that a red card might have been shown.

( Neil says in his after match interview that Wellsy had bad toothache yesterday but I still don't think that would excuse such a bad tackle. )

I know others will say it's the professional thing to do, and it stops you possibly conceding a goal.

I have to say I really don't like it.

That's how I see these incidents anyhow.

Where did you see that announced Sir Rebel1965?

I understood that The FA gave clubs with 3G pitches in all leagues the option to agree an earlier or later kick off time as per the illustrations attached to my post of 20.23 on Friday above.

I don't think anyone likes drink breaks but necessary in the circumstances.

I agree that I think Aaron's was accidental but George Wells challenge was cynical and I don't think necessary as there were plenty of players covering.

I think it was the George Hunt challenge where I said that could well be a red card, which I think some refs would possibly have given.

The Chippenham manager has said he will be trying  to get Tuesdays game with Oxford City postponed due to the mental state of his squad  absolutely no interest in playing football they all know it could have been them

George’s was no where near a red card! He actually caught the player up who then slowed down, set himself low to tackle but the player then had a clever burst of speed on the go again. Players around, cynical yes, believe it or not it’s part of game management dependent on the counter attack risk typically based on a players decision.  It’s called taking one for the team.

Khuls was never a yellow card, angels player cleverly made it a yellow - game management again.

In your opinion Footyfan007.

I'm just saying it as I saw it at the time.

My very first reaction was that this could be a red card, luckily it wasn't.

Whichever way you look at it it was a poor, cynical challenge from behind.

Chippenham chairman now confirming that this Tuesdays game with Oxford City has been postponed due to the ordeal his players faced on Saturday  Also confirms that the players heart had stopped  and required  a defibrillator to restore a rythym Urges all clubs to have a top end defibrillator and most importantly fully trained operatives.

Apparently Oxford City are a former club of Pablo Martinez the victim of Saturdays incident who also were keen on this postponement.
