Thought I'd start an early thread on this.

Just booked my place on the rebels on tour coach and really looking forward to a hard fought encounter on their 3G pitch.

Havant are odds on to win at 5/6, the draw is 14/5 with the away win at 11/4.

COYR!!!

Get in there RR! I am expecting great things from this Bakes and Unders squad.

There is a squad update on the club web-site, with 18 players named, no Dobson as he’s out on loan, and no mention of a new striker.

Now an official squad for the season announcement on the club web site.

Looks like the striker we had hoped to get on loan must have fallen through.

Bit of a strange decision with Dobbo at this late stage but you did say, RR, that he wasn't looking at his sharpest in pre-season. I'd have thought he would still have been handy as a sub, though but our managers must have doubted that, to send him out on loan.

A loan striker can be added anytime, and starting with what we've got should be fine for the initial 6 to 8 weeks, providing our attack come up with the goods and score some goals. We shall see.

I have a trip tomorrow to the Sandringham Estate with a friend and his wife.

Have a great afternoon at Westleigh Park and I look forward to seeing you all again at Arbour Park against Tonbridge Angels.

It makes sense to get Dobbo game time somewhere else and give the players who are fit and firing a place in the squad.

As you say we'll soon find out if we have enough fire power to get results.

People forget that when Dobbo joined us 8 years ago or so he joined from North Leigh so no surprise if he wants to regain form/fitness there.

Finished 3-1 , not the start we would have hoped for, but H&W look like one of the teams to be in the playoffs this season.

No but I doubt anyone expected us to win today? The next 2 both are home are vital we get a minimum of 4 points.

No Josh Jackman or Matt Lench either. Least Ben Harris got on the score sheet.

Why should we not go there hoping for a win - if we expected to get beaten why did we turn up?

The odds were that we would not win, but there was an outside chance for a win or a draw - you never know what might happen! - you have to go and play and see what happens.

When you’re away to one of the title favourites, who train full time and have one of the biggest budgets the odds are very much against you. Of course we could have won but it would have been a surprise to most of us. Anyway the next 2 are important now and hopefully we can get the results we need.
