Looking at who we’ve signed (and re-signed) I wouldn’t class it as a low budget and no doubt has been increased from last season. Obviously it’s still no where near the big spending clubs but I’d say it’s competitive. I think we’ll have a squad of around 20 players with some of those dual registered.

I’ve only seen 1 pre season game so please do enlighten me on his style as I thought we had enough midfielders already!

Still hoping another attacking player signs before next Saturday as we only have 3 strikers and ones a youngster still finding his feet and another is injury prone.

He's about 6ft 4 in height and built like a brick whatsit ?

Being serious he's a small skillful mobile player.

Look Glen, I don't mind a joke or banter,as anyone who really knows me would testify but to me you were taking the piss out of me,when it was unnecessary or apt for the subject you were discussing with Reading Rebel. How would you have reacted if I started saying those types of things about you,given that I have only ever spoken to you in person one or two times? In my eyes you overstepped the mark,as we aren't on a friends basis and I couldn't see why I needed to me brought into your conversation with Reading Rebel in the first place, as you were talking about midfielders.

I'm not without humour but sometimes there has to be a red flag raised about inappropriate 'piss' taking when it is uncalled for and ungentlemanly.

Yes I was a little crude but we’re all adults here (mostly), and I’m quite sure had I said this to anyone anywhere else their reaction would never be on the scale of yours. You must have led a very sheltered life if no one has ever taken the piss out of you or made fun of you! Or do you react the same everytime? With all the bigger troubles in the world if you get this upset about my comment maybe you need stat away from society! I've said what I felt impelled to.

As for society, since when has it been 'utopia' !  I'm battle hardened by the 'shit' but does that make it right?

Anyway back to the original topic… going by the website squad list, we have 23 players but 4 of those are currently out on loan and it’s unlikely we’ll use them unless it’s an emergency. So with no safety net of the U23’s to call upon is 19 enough?

Ideally I'd say 20 but that does mean if everyone is fit 4 will not even be in the match day squad.

I suppose duel reg would be the answer.

I guess we’re still awaiting the mystery loan striker (it may not even happen). In a way I’m hoping it’s not a youngster from a pro club but someone a little older with experience of higher non league.
