To many these types of things aren't important, but if the club can show good engagement in social media in the today's world, that could add good percentages onto sponsorships and opportunities for financial support.

Very well done to whomever is running the socials and the website throughout the entire player process and oong may it continue.

Looks like we have an excellent deadball player in Dobbo, Hollis's long throws, Goddard now as a creative force, just need some players to convert all these opportunities we are going to create.

Arguably St Albans best player last season. 

They are gutted to lose him.

Just thinking about the competition we've got in midfield next season:

Toggs, Lench, Kuhl, Hunt, Goddard, Davies, Dobbo, Goueth and George.

Probably as strong as I've seen it for a number of years.

Benyon - never been a prolific scorer throughout his career but looks like he can lead a line having played 29 times for Oxford last season. Hopefully with some of the creativity we now have in the squad he will get good chances and score a few more goals for Slough. Regardless of scoring prowess, another excellent Conf. South standard/experienced player for the younger lads to learn from.

5/6 announced now and most of the rumours etc confirmed. It will be interesting to see the final announcement this evening as I'm assuming it'll be another new striker/ attacking player to balance the squad. Will be interesting to see how we line up for the new season with the make up of the squad this year and how well the diamond 4-4-2 worked last season.

Just my opinion SF, around the play offs doesn’t necessarily mean we will get in the play offs. Just feel this squad is a lot stronger than last season now and should go close, if we don’t then you won’t hear a moan from me, we’ve got a chance with our Managers and this squad!

I don't think there's any question that the lads have excelled themselves and have put a stronger multitalented squad together than last season  In view of what they've done in former seasons I'm very pleased! although I should have expected nothing less!

This squad is certainly capable of making the play offs. I doubt the likes of Kuhl, Wells and Goddard would have signed without the club outlining their ambitions.

Ben Harris is actually a decent signing.

We know he's injury prone but also a real handful and used sparingly i.e. when not injured, throughout the season will be a useful weapon at our disposal. 

Not sure 3spirit will agree ?

Totally agree Glen, these players would not have signed to make up the numbers.

Have to be honest and say I’m disappointed the 6th signing wasn’t a new player and a prolific striker. Sure on his day Ben can be decent but I just feel he’s had a long enough stint to prove his fitness which is why I wasn’t surprised by his release. Hopefully he can prove me wrong and stay fit for a lot longer and more importantly score lots of goals. Can our managers confirm if that’s the squad finalised or are there trialists during pre-season or had space been left in the squad for 1 or 2 others?

Glen I'm only guessing but I'd say this squad wasn't cheap to put together.

As most i.e. me and you have said there was no way we could afford a player like John Goddard and blow me down here he is a part of our squad.

Add in the facts with got Wellsy back who must of been on good money at M'head and kept the services of Kuhly who must have had clubs offering him more money to leave us. 

I would hazard a guess that getting a 'prolific striker' in was probably just out of our range ?

I did actually just come to the same conclusion, thinking Kuhl, Wells and Goddard would be our highest earners now and the pot was not full enough to sign that top striker. Time will tell and hopefully whoever plays up front will have plenty of service.
