'All we want is a decent cup of tea...'

Now call me old fashioned, but i always thought that when making a cup of tea you need to use a tea-bag. Not so at the Windsor tea-hut, where it seems some gravel mix will do. Think i'll stick to the beer next match.

Anonymous, have you actually had a cup of tea from the tea hut at Windsor? By your comments I would think not. We're appreciative of the ground and all that, but we paid excellent rates (for you lot to put into the bank) to use your facilites which includes the tea bar from which you get the takings from as well on our matchdays. So I think it's fair that if we have a complaint, we should be able to air it, don't you?

After Saturdays p*** i have decided to bring some tea bags and a spoon, Also i would be quite happy to do the teas if we keep the profits. I would say that you now top the Ryman League for the worst brew ,at least Hallow had a dirty tea pot witch gave the hot water some hint of flavor.

Whilst we appreciate the efforts of the tea bar staff, we're not having a go at them as Delaney is correct, those in the tea bar and behind the bar do a great job for us, it's just a shame that we they are offering in terms of their product from the tea bar, in this case the cups of 'tea', are foul.

I'm sure if someone mentions it to them, they will rightly get it sorted out.

What is this with Windsor fans that we can't criticise anything about their ground...I'm grateful they have let Slough play their this season, but also aware that the £25,000 has helped them get to the top of the league - maybe they could buy a few more teabags with the money as well.

I always try and buy food at footie grounds cos i want to support the clubs no matter who they are, even if being vegetarian it is often hard work - but at least I can usually hope to get a drinkable cup of tea. The tea at Wndsor wasn't drinkable - and i'm so sorry if i've offended the whole of the Royals establishment and their tealadies, but's not as if they are dishing them out free.

If i was served that anywhere else i would have taken it back and complained - why should undrinkable crap be served at footie matches and it be ok?

If you read the windsor observer you would of found out what your money was spent on. Such things as ground improvements etc most if not all of the players came out of the chairman's pocket. Around £8 grand was spent on the pitch alone

Anonymous from Windsor...

(as opposed to all the other anonymous posters on this thread!)

I do not remember having seen any information about what Windsor used the payment from Slough for.

Knowing that Slough paid £25k to Windsor, it is not entirely unreasonable for a non-league supporter to see Windsor romping away at the top of the league and conclude that the payment may have assisted the achievement of that success.

However, IF the payment was used solely for ground improvements (that would not have otherwise have happened) and IF all the player costs were met from alternative sources, then as these improvements would benefit Slough Town as much as Windsor, us Rebels fans should change our tune. (Note that I did not say 'stop complaining' - I agree with other Slough fans in thinking that the sum paid was unduly high.)

A list of these improvements could be added to the information about Stag Meadow on the STFC website (if Gary agrees, and is provided with a list), and this might help clarify the matter for more fans.

Back to the topic...

I don't drink tea anyway, but for 60p you should expect to get something of reasonable quality. So please Windsor fans reading this thread, consider the above comments as constructive (if occasionally rude!) customer feedback and consider reviewing the matter.
