Season Start Date

Recommended Posts

I read on some teams forum [think it might have been Dulwich Hamlet's but not sure] that clubs can't officially sign players till the 1st of July, which could be why Bakes and Unders are reluctant to announce new players [in case they get better offers from other teams, or renege on what has been agreed].

I, too, read that the National League starts on the 6th of August.

The 1st July date is for league forms I believe mate. You know like Hollis was on last season to allow a 7 day approach. You (as far as I'm aware) can sign contracted players at any point (with the possibility of not actually registering them before 1st July to the team).

I don't think registration forms are out until July, that's why it's all done by players committing themselves to a club unless they are put on a contract which can be done at anytime.

By the way this is a repeat ?
