Enfield Town @ Edgware Town

I read in the local paper, The Edgware & Mill Hill Times, that the Edgware Town chairman was thinking of throwing in the towel and renting out the ground to Enfield Town. I was interested in your thoughts?

I saw this in the Non-League.....

I thought that after all the hard work you lads put in you'd be staying at the Brimmo.....

ALthough not a board member, I am pretty certain that we will be staying at the Brimmobeu in the short to medium term. The long term goal is, of course, our own ground in the borough of Enfield.

I believe there is another team called Enfield, who's future is in the ESL!

 

but they do not have a railway station named after them!

Talking of ETFC finding a new ground in the next few years....I hear on the grapvine that athletics at the QE stadium will be wound down in the next year or two,thus leaving the site open for redevelopment.

 

But i hear David Lloyd's and a local sports club have already been sniffing about.

If Enfield Town was to move out of the borough it would defeat the main reason behind the formation of our club which was to return senior football to Enfield.This might have been all right for afc wimbledon to so soon forget their aims but we must stick to our principles and NOT lose sight of the original goal of progress through the leagues IN Enfield.

The only good thing to come out of the article was that our name was mentioned. I would not lose any sleep over the chairman's comments.

No wind-up, the story was in last weeks Edgware & Mill Hill Times. But in saying that, the Edgware Chairman, Anthony Rosier has now resigned and has said that Edgware Town will go under by the end of February.
