Manor to sign top STRIKER

Recommended Posts

By the time we play our next league fixture at Barkingside we will have signed a seasoned striker who has had a number of years in the ryman divisions, all our recent publicity has attracted all sorts of interest from a host of different clubs and players, all willing to lend a hand to give us both a long term and short term boost if needed. we are a loyal club and stick by our present staff, but with our main target man now out injured for the rest of the season, we have taken the option of signing this player, so watch this space.

This makes me laugh, great news for you......It's just that everyone else seems to be trying to sign our players! Three times we have found out about illegal approaches to our players. The latest from a Ryman Premier club who are looking to go places in non-league football. Surely they should be doing the right thing? Or is it an ex manager thing who clearly looks through the WINDOWS at his club with starry eyes. Even CI put in a 7 day app and done thing's the right way..... Eton rifle this is not a go at you in any way...some other clubs will know what I'm taking about, good luck to the manor and Reg, he's a diamond!

I can understand your frustration, but we never approach anyone (aint got anything to offer, money wise )we were formally approached by the player himself, explained his history, free agent at the mo, so we welcomed him and his experiance with open arms. Some of our players were approached a few months ago, they told the clubs to f**k off,it's the old east end thing, loyalty, some of our boys gave up wages to come to us at the start of the season, can't ask more than that, our management team have got the utmost respect from all our players and of course the feeling is mutual. We like yourselves are a very young side, and hopefully in the future may be able to help players with expenses, but if a big club comes in and offers good money, you can't stand in their way.

I don't think any club would (should) stand in a players' way from progressing - we certainly wouldn't.

All we ask is that things are done in the correct way.

All the best for the remainder of the season - not against us, of course. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
