This is strange and worrying. I had just posted on here a thread about how happy I am for Veli to be back and asking about his availability for midweek evening games.

 

BUT THEN I go to the BWFC forum and find this:

I saw that too, but It can't be true, he played for us yesterday...

I would be very surprised if he went with Browne again after being let down at Boreham Wood by our esteemed ex-manager. Promised the world to him, got very little of what was promised. Seems to be very much like someone high up at our club!!

But the post was dated 25/1/04 (today) which is why I'm wondering if something fishy has been going on.

I personally think it's safe to say Veli is with us now, lets all calm down, the quote is from a BW fan who has seen Browne and a few others have gone to Hemel and has asumed Hakki has gone to, there is no mention of Hakki on the Hemel site. It's all been blown out of proportion.

I have checked the Hemel site and didn't find any news on transfers, so I also think it is safe to say Hakki is a Slough player.

according to the official Ryman site, Veli has transferred to us from Boreham Wood. Must make it official

I believe that Veli has signed for Slough, and that the person who said that he has signed for Hemel is just wishful thinking. Veli is a good player and in his short time with us, served us well. I wish him all the best

Of course it's not true just because it's on the internet. But very often with internet rumours, there's no smoke without fire - for example we found out about Browne's sacking on the internet first.

This may have already been mentioned on another thread but Chris Andrews (who I thought had come back to us briefly) is now playing for Bracknell and conceded four on his debut against Hampton.

No he hadn't come back to us, I was just given duff information for the reserves report against Harrow. It was listed as Chris Andrews, looked a bit like him from the half way line, but it was in fact Andrew Hunt, who had a good game.
