Leon Chambers-Parillon

The Oxford Mail printed this last week as part of their assessment of players whose contracts are expiring at the end of this season.

"LEON CHAMBERS-PARILLON

United have the option to extend the midfielder’s deal by an extra 12 months, with his initial one-year contract expiring this summer.

After starting three cup games for the U’s in August, Chambers-Parillon was sent on loan to Vanarama National League South sides Havant & Waterlooville and now Slough Town.

There is reportedly scope to extend his deal with the Berkshire outfit into next season, although whether that is a loan or a permanent move is unclear. "

We haven't seen anywhere near enough of Leon to make a judgement but enough to say he looked promising the time that he was on the pitch.

We've expressed an interest in having Leon back on loan next season but that was before he was released by Oxford.

No we and he have known since we took him on loan he was not being kept on, however was not our place to talk about it, he has to have a minor operation this summer.

So the Oxford Mail must have mis-quoted Unders in an interview saying 'we'll certainly be in that queue to have him next season'?

He was asked a question, nothing had come out yet that he had been released, so Unders said what he felt should be said.

As mentioned we have been well aware of his release ever since we signed him on loan.

Fair play Neil.

Hope Leon comes through his operation well as for the very limited time we saw him on the pitch looked like he had something about him.
