The last dance for Tom Inch, a great servant who will be missed, at least his wasn't as bad as keeper Rob Partington's earlier in the season, but the second half was a definite 'Yikes' on the badometer.

Howlers galore in this one, I'll post the JetsTV coverage tomorrow but you have to see some of it to believe it. Should have been 5-1 because there was a 1966 moment when a shot bounced down over the line and out, but as the lino wasn't Russian it didn't count.

After last week, wanted a reaction and we got it. First 45 probably the best we played all season. After splitting up 2 of their players at half time, a brutal 2nd half saw us reach 100 league goals.

With Clinton winning today plus the league trying to sort out what they do about Sarratt pulling out of Tuesdays game. Next Saturdays game at Clinton is set up nicely.

Can’t wait and this week can’t go quick enough.

A match report and a groundhopper from another Forum was at the PIaying FieIds, I can't see Burton Park Wanderers being unceremoniously relegated to Division Two:

South Midlands League D1 at Pixmore Fields, KO 3pm.
Letchworth Garden City Eagles 0-0 Burton Park Wanderers, admission £5/£2, Programme £1, Bacon Roll and Coffee £5. Attendance 33.
This completed all the grounds in this division for me. A friendly club with a neat clubhouse and a huge number of youth teams. Thankfully hot food was available as I was hungry. An under 18 game (I think) was taking place on pitch two by the side and I did see one goal in that one for LGCE, in fact we had about 10/15 minutes when we had the games playing at the same time. A small seated stand, then a gap to a further covered shelter, looks very new, a good place to avoid the wind in the second half! Otherwise no other cover. Pitch has quite a slope on it.
Sadly in a gusty wind the 1st team game was dire for seventy minutes with mis-placed and over hit passes and crosses. Thankfully the last twenty five was entertaining as LGCE pummelled the already relegated visitors (unless they get a reprieve), but the Burton keeper had a blinder and made two or three worldy saves to keep them in it. And I was impressed by the effort Burton put into the game considering their second bottom position.
So goalless, my second of the month, additionally I've had three one nils! Don't follow me around.
Good journey in both directions and home by 18:30.

Munchkin - Why did Sarratt pull out of tomorrow evening's fixture, they probably had a valid reason and it is re-arranged for Monday 2 May so I'm not sure what the problem is.

It was originally scheduled for Monday 2 May, they couldn’t do it.

it was moved to 26th April they informed us they couldn’t  get a side

moved back to Monday 2 May
