Extremely proud of the boys, totally dominant performance except for a more even period before the break. That's when the goal came, from a needlessly conceded corner, and even then the mishit shot bounced into the ground and into the top corner. How's your luck.

Hit the post from a corner, Sean Giordmaina brought a fine save with a sweetly struck goalbound effort from distance, but it wasn't to be. The ref gets his win bonus and Heath somehow make the semis. We bloody murdered them and got nothing. There's no justice.

A groundhopper from another Forum was present:

Codicote scored reasonably early on the break, and had other chances to extend their lead before Aston Clinton scored twice in a minute just before half time. It didn't take long in the second half for the lead to be extended, but Codicote quickly pulled one back. They were lucky not to see one player sent off for a late challenge midway though the second period, but did lose one to a second yellow late on, a mistimed high kick and he walked fairly quickly. Chances at both ends after the last goal. Twitter feeds would seem to suggest both sides finished with ten men, and I didn't notice an Aston Clinton player sent off. There was a bit of a to-do after the final whistle, so possibly happened then, but I'd made a quick exit.
Railed on three sides, with a 100 seated stand on the half way line. Opposite this are the dugouts and cricket square, with a second pitch on the other side of this. Thankfully the kitchen was open serving hot drinks, as it was rather chilly.
A relatively trouble free drive home, barring the closure of the M25/M4 junction which was helpfully only signposted as being closed eastbound. Got in just before it was completely shut. A camera did flash as I was going under it, but for the driver overtaking me at the time (I think).
