ETFC Sunday morning

Recommended Posts

I think we had a baker's dozen at the ground this morning in beautiful sunshine. Yet more digging and concreting took place with certain individuals being able to think for themselves and make decisions about how deep the holes have to be!

First time ever, we ran out of cement!

Don't forget that working parties will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays from 10.00am - 1.00pm. There may even be the opportunity of a few evening parties coming up.

Great to see all the work off the pitch, not sure at the moment about what goes on it though!

Ah, a non-footy question, at last ! I seem to recall the Two Ronnies coming up with that one and the Phantom had a spell in France, living in the Rue De Remarques or has my mind just blown with all this re-structuring going on ?

A fantastic amount of work has been achieved over the long drawn out weekend with most of the site rubbish being cleared away. More holes have been dug and then filled with concrete. Painting has began on the Club shop(container) and there is now a very wide walkway to the back of the Brimmo tea/burger thing!

A supporter arrived this morning to see what we were doing and was quite surprised at the amount of work that has been achieved. He was unaware of what has been completed, so I believe that now is the time for 'Brimmo Tours' to take off. If one supporter does not know what has been achieved, then there must be quite a few more!

For a small donation we will take you on a tour of the site and show you what has been done. If you like what you see, then that's good enough for me.

Sign up when we play Barkingside on 30 March.

How good are you at painting? Painters needed urgently. Get down to the ground on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Sunday morning.

Maybe we should get the Press Officer down there with his Camera ASAP, better still how about a "Virtual Tour"

  • 2 weeks later...

hey what great progress made today, saturday, more concrete laid, shame it wasw by so few.

Steps are in for the toilets inside the ground.

Access to hot food from the ground is nearly complete.

So, come on get down there and help finish the work.

explain thi to me:- 250 supporters; 14 directors but only 12 people turn up on a regular basis to help build the ground, doesn't quite add up for me; but then what do I know.
