Deserved win for Tring but much better from the Jets in what was an even game until the 80th minute. 

The visitors unlucky to go in a goal down right on half time having failed to clear their lines from the corner which had resulted from a penalty save. What the penalty was given for only the ref can say, no one else had a clue.

Tring were superb at the back all game and Jets hardly had a sniff but at 1-0 and pressing for an equaliser it was the hosts who made the points safe after yet another calamitous defensive howler gifted them a second, and after that they might have had a few more as heads dropped.

Young Jets Centre half Harry Brady was subject to a nasty looking late tackle which required lengthy treatment midway through the second half but thankfully got up although the shock of it curtailed his further involvement.

How Tring have languished near the foot of the table for so long with this defence is a mystery to me, can only think they must have brought in new blood lately.

Interesting talk at the game of all kinds of shenanigans which could shape the look of next season's SSMLP. Time will tell.

9th v 6th at the start of play, there wasn't much between the sides in a game of few chances. For quite some time I feared a second consecutive goalless draw, following the final game of the hop on Sunday, but the visitors took the lead on 62 minutes when a through ball split the two central defenders and number 11 beat the advancing keeper to score. The second goal came on 83 minutes. Number 17 advanced down the right and, with everyone expecting a cross, he beat the keeper at the near post.
I got the last space in the small car park, though there's plenty of parking available on the road outside. The clubhouse is adjacent to the car park, outside the entrance gate to the pitch. There is a small covered stand with three rows of bench seating, and a "shed" adjacent offering hot drinks.

A pleasant evening spent at this cup game. The new breeze block built stand currently under construction is a twin of the already existing stand. Unclear if this will have a shallow rake of 3 rows of seats, or covered standing only. Inside the club house and the tea hatch has been covered over, with everyone queuing at the bar.
Both teams put on a good show, lots of passing, and some very quick players on the BR team. Player of the match in my opinion was the BR GK, diving for some outstanding saves. LGC only securing the win 3 minutes before the end of extra time, with the final half of ET peppered with players struggling with cramp.
