v Dulwich Hamlet

Such a disappointing way to lose a game.

Even first half where only an excellent goal from Max Worsfold separated the two teams.

Again not a lot to separate the two sides in the second half except for two really poor goals given away which has cost us the game.

The first goal was just poor defending and the second was a cock up pure and simple from Togs.

Far too many soft goals given away for us to even think about making the play-offs.

We’re in a poor run of results, obviously injuries and off the field events have naturally had some impact. But I think after tonight any talk of the play offs isn’t realistic as we’re just too far behind and not looking currently to go on the sort of winning run required. I would keep any new signings until the summer now where we can hopefully recruit well and build a squad capable of a genuine play off push.

Dulwich had some very fast players and we just ran out of steam at the end.  Nearly nicked an equaliser though!  Also a great save from Northy to stop a 1-3 scoreline.

Can't knock Togs for his air-kick, he's usually rock solid in defence. Thought Edon played well.

I don't think it was anything to do with running out of steam.

We competed well for most of the match with very little between the two sides but no matter what side you play against you will always be up against it if you don't defend properly.

We need to forget about any talk of the play offs and just concentrate on accumulating enough points to avoid getting dragged into any relegation battle.

The Dulwich drinkers don't do Tuesdays away from home, in fact Hungerford with 1/10th of their home support put them to shame! As those who've been to Champion Hill will know the home support is more like a crowd going to the pub for a social gathering. It's a strange atmosphere imo, however 3000 per game helps to fund the team and the running of the club and really should be able to support them at the next level.

Trying to think the last time we scored a gift goal. Absolutely need to cut these defensive mistakes out.

We had 5 teenagers on the pitch at the end!

Most goals we score we seem to have to work hard for but we do seem to concede an inordinate amount of soft goals.

BTW I don't necessarily blame it all on our defense.

We do have an abundance of 'ball players', perhaps this might be one of the reasons why we tend to concede 'soft' goals.

I wasn't at the match but considering we have no Guy Hollis now, and with Matt Lench,Scott Davies and Freddie Grant all out injured, I can't see how anyone can be critical of this result, or the Hungerford draw.

I always thought making the play offs this season would be a pipe dream anyway, so to me we need a sense of realism in regards to how good our squad is right now.

I would say we are carrying, at least 4 players, who weren't up to it a couple of seasons ago ! To their credit, though, they have been loyal to the Slough cause and we are fortunate to still have them around but I'm not expecting miracle results by them week in week out. From my point of view, this season we're doing better than expected, so I am content with that. Also Bakes and Unders have performed miracles blending our experienced players with the youngsters of the Under 23's,and unearthing young talent from elsewhere. We're fortunate, too, that Tyler Goodhram's loan period has been successful, as how many loan players often aren't?

So I think we need to cut our managers and team some slack.

I think the vast majority of our support would think mid table was the likely hood of this season’s campaign. But when your team goes on a winning/unbeaten run then naturally expectations rise and there’s nothing wrong with that. So when we start shipping down the table again disappointment sets in even though we’re about where our pre season expectations where. I just want to see our club progress and maybe it’s wishful thinking but hope we can have a very good summer recruitment, learn from this season’s mistakes and have a proper go next season.

Of course we have some key players out injured just like a lot of teams have.

By the word 'critical' do you mean being at the match and giving a supporters view of the game without slagging the team/players off?

So until our injured players are back no one should give an honest opinion on a performance unless of course we win and play well?

I think your last paragraph is very telling when it comes to the state of the club at the moment Bernie!

3,000 supporters and the amount they spend on drink must be colossal.
