Dan Roberts came on as an 82nd minute substitute.

The attendance was 2,457 : Can Rebels beat that for the massive match against Maidstone United on 12th March? Be there and  bring a friend!!!

RR : Be positive. That's not the right attitude. Rebels have 38 days to work on building the gate for this massive match and The Stones support will be enormous.

Shredding: Whether this match is a 'massive' game or not will almost certainly depend on where both clubs sit in the table come the 12th of March.

It'll obviously be a big game for Maidstone unless they have a collapse of biblical proportions which at this present time seems unlikely.

On the assumption that Maidstone will be in a play off position how many do you think the 'enormous' mighty Maidstone away support will be?

First appearance for Dan Roberts in the Dartford squad for a number of weeks.

Not sure playing 10 minutes on the odd occasion will do him any good.

Still, I'm sure he's being remunerated very well.

They were unbeaten in the league before that very bad patch of 0-1-4 in the league from 9th October (0-2 at home to Eastbourne Borough) to 6th November (0-1 at home to Slough Town) and have been unbeaten in the league since. On 26th February, I am sure that you will agree RR, they have a massive fixture, which will most likely be the title decider, away to Dorking Wanderers.

The away support on 12th March I estimate will be anything up to 724. The match could also be attractive to occasional and roving supporters.

We're going to have to go some to get the odd 1,734 from our home support and others.

Still as you say no harm in trying, every little bit extra through the gate helps.

Tomorrow's match is massive for Rebels as it is the first of four out of five home matches for them in National League South. If, after that, Rebels can start winning away again after losing every away match so far in 2022, then the second half of the season has considerable potential for them.

The match against Maidstone United on 12th March, I consider to be a massive match in the league.

There are two key National League South fixtures before then :-

Saturday 26th February Dorking Wanderers v Maidstone United

Saturday 5th March : Dartford v Dorking Wanderers

The last time that Dorking Wanderers lost in the league was 4-1 at Chippeneham Town on 4th December, their first league match since they lost 2-1 at Slough Town on
13th November.

The last time that Maidstone United lost in the league was 0-1 at home to Slough Town on 6th November.

And so I consider Slough Town v Maidstone United on 12th March to be a massive match.

Just 1% of the population of Slough is approximately 1,645. Could we get just 1% of the town's population along?

Promote the match to all your friends. I know, just as the club does, that it's hard nowadays to get Slough people through the turnstiles but if every Slough Town regular supporter living in Slough could just get two people along to this massive match, a crowd of more than 2,457 is within our reach.

Another massive factor in achieving that is that hardly any of the London and local teams from Southern League Premier Division South and above are at home on
Saturday 12th March : just Brentford v Burnley and Wycombe Wanderers v Rotherham United.

So as I say - On Saturday 12th March, Be There ... at Arbour Park!

You being a man of figures I was wondering how you came to your estimate of anything up to 724 for the Maidstone away support?

There are a number of factors affecting how many Maidstone United supporters will come.

Home league gates at James Whatman Way since the beginning of December 2021 have been :-

 11.12.21 Dartford : 2,560
28.12.21 Welling United : 2,572
  2. 1.22 Tonbridge Angels : 3,116
25. 1.22 Ebbsfleet United 3,001
  5. 2.22 Bath City 2,460

Four successive home matches against Kent sides but 2,460 against Bath City on a chilly day when The Calcutta Cup began at 16.45.
Undefeated in the league since 6th November when they lost 0-1 at home to Slough Town who beat Dorking Wanderes 2-1 at home the following Saturday.
On 26th February, Maidstone United are away to Dorking Wanderers. A win would incease interest in the Slough Town away fixture.
Standard train fare is £30-30 return.

I have today started emailing everyone I know in Slough with the following details :-

"Saturday 12th March : Slough Town v Maidstone United

Let everybody you know who is interested in football or Slough Town that they should come to Slough Town v Maidstone United on Saturday 12th March.

Rebels are unbeaten at Arbour Park since Saturday 9th October when they played very well in a 1-3 defeat to Ebbsfleet United.

My title favourite Maidstone United are unbeaten in the league since their 0-1 home defeat to Slough Town on 6th November.

Gavin, the 9 years old grandson of my friend Atma, will be the match mascot.

So it is an absolutely massive match, which takes some getting through to the people of Slough, and could be even more massive after Dorking Wanderers v
Maidstone United on 26th February.

Maidstone United are sure to bring a substantial away support being the second best supported club in the division to Dulwich Hamlet."

How about you all doing the same?

Rebels need a win against Dulwich Hamlet tomorrow evening to keep their play-off hopes alive.

Perhaps Slough Town FC will offer Maidstone United FC an initial allocation of 724 and see how quickly they are snapped up!
