My advice is come to Arbour Park and experience some manners by sitting in a stand where people do not stand up in front of you and tell you to go elsewhere. Or come to a game where you are not treated like cattle and doesn't cost an arm and a leg for something to eat and drink.
Rebellier
But don't come as a goalkeeper and upset the tw*t behind your goal
3spirit
Surprised no one has commented about the actual game yesterday. Anyway, for what it is worth I thought Bakes post match interview was a pretty good assessment of Slough's performance,it did seem as if the draw was the fair result. I had hoped that when Slough had edged in front 2-1 that they could have taken the game to Oxford,as it felt that we had them rattled but then up pop's Oxford's George Harmon with his well struck wonder goal, and that hope faded. I thought Slough played some superb stuff coming from defence to our midfield in the first 25 minutes of the first half but actually creating openings up front seemed a problem for both sides in that first period. It seemed against the run of play when Oxford took the lead. It's amazing how often a team like Slough take belief when they actually score a goal against higher opposition. It appeared like some of our players didn't expect we could. If only we could have kept up the intensity once our two goals had gone in but alas the game just didn't pan out that way. I was pleased that every Slough player put in a shift against Oxford and for once it looked a hard decision to see what player would be substituted. I was surprised it was Aaron Krul first, though.as I thought he was doing well but whatever, the change brought our first goal, with Josh Jackman finding himself in space for a shot. A good point earned, I thought. Not quite at it for the 3 points, though. Not a criticism, as before the game had started I thought a draw would be a commendable result against the league leaders. Reading Rebel
I thought the first half was pretty even without either keeper having to make a save of any note. We hit the post with Oxford taking the lead through a combination of a decent cross into the box and some not so good defending from us. Once we equalized this seemed to spur us on to get on top producing some good football which eventually led to our second goal. Unfortunately we were unable to hold out with Oxfords equalizer coming from a very tight angle with a fiercely struck shot from their wide player who managed to find a lot of space to get his shot away. Good crowd/atmosphere and a good game to watch and despite being 2-1 up over the 90+ minutes I think a draw was a fair result.
