Hard to believe that was 5 years ago when we had him on loan.

He's scored 10 goals which is pretty impressive in the championship especially after being loaned out to numerous clubs and then released by Fulham, ending up at Walsall for one season and now Luton.

Obviously the Luton manager is singing his praises and demanding a huge transfer fee if a big club with money to burn like Newcastle wants him.

It is always great to see young players that have played in some way for Slough going on to play at a much higher level, and I have enjoyed keeping an occasional look at Elijah’s progress.

This article is quite a stretch though, and in my opinion if Newcastle are at a Luton Fulham match and looking for a potential striker to sign to get them out of trouble I would think it much more likely it was Mitrovic (22 goals in 21 league matches) they were scouting.
