With the size and composition of our squad do you honestly think we have a good chance of winning the FA Trophy?

I'm sure no-one gave mid table Hornchurch a chance last season  As you often say it's about performance on the day.Its also about belief and determination and intelligent game planning  so we must take it one game at a time  and deliver our best Last eight or last four would be an achievement imo.

Sorry Adrian, perhaps I got the wrong end of the stick. The way you said 'in our pursuit of the FA Trophy' it sounded like you thought we had a good chance of winning it.

As has been said before Hornchurch were a bit of an exceptional case where they had an experienced manager who I think had previously won the Trophy on three occasions and of course had the financial backing to achieve it.

As Jon said in the interview we couldn't ask the players who have played lots of football for us to play again just 2 days after a tough FA Trophy tie, so we were in a no win situation really. Beaconsfield deserved their win overall although our high points (the first half hour) were the best football in the game and 5-1 flattered them. In and amongst the defeat there were some really good signs from the youngsters - for example, Harry Riley looked good at centre back and we need cover there, Eitel seems to be regaining confidence, in the first few minutes Joe was terrorising there defence and Imran took his goal really well.

Shame to lose but some good points too.

It feels a bit like poor planning though - with a bit of thought, the kickoff time could be pushed back a bit, or the date changed to allow large numbers of Reading supporters to attend both games. There’s already plenty of them saying exactly this on social media.

Fair point Matt. I was thinking more from the players front, didn't think of the fans looking to attend the game.

It seems (unsurprisingly) Reading are playing their U23's so the 2 games won't matter either way Mark.

I think it's more to do with some Reading supporters wanting to see both games.

Not really been thought out by the B&B.

If they wanted to have the maximum crowd they should have the game played later or on the Sunday.
