And with ex-Slough Town Matty Stevens putting Forest Green Rovers ahead and ex-U 'As Mitchell Weiss equalising for St Albans City, there is plenty in the match highlights to interest locals :- https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59198606
Reading Rebel
Looking at the game I think you can see why St Albans are doing so well this season. They are generally a big side that defend well but also have a player like Shaun Jeffers up front who is a handful and is currently the divisions top scorer with 14 goals from 11 games. GlenSTFC
I was really surprised they sold over 4,000 tickets for a game against one of the smaller league clubs plus it was live on tv. That just shows the potential support they have and I was thinking if Slough were in their place we’d struggle to get half that crowd.

Yes, just means they've got more glory hunters/hangers on/plastic fans than we have ? It'll be interesting to see by how many their next home match attendance increases or not as the case may be. Their previous three home match attendances were :- Tuesday 19th October 1,114 FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round replay v Corinthian Casuals Tuesday 26th October 1,047 National League South v Billericay Town Saturday 30th October 749 National League South v Eastbourne Borough They are in second place, two points behind Dartford with two games in hand. Without looking at the finer details St Albans average league attendances so far this season compared to the last full season have increased from 600+ to 900+ which is most probably down to them being towards the top of the division so far this season. I know they had a pricing problem a while back but that sort of increase is still impressive.

Equally them not charging as much as previously.

The entire 1,000 away allocation for Boreham Wood v St Albans City has already sold out :- "13TH NOVEMBER 2021 Boreham Wood have confirmed that our allocation of 1,000 tickets has now completely sold out. Firstly, thank you for your incredible support. Demand is so high, Boreham Wood are now making every effort to increase our ticket allocation and are looking at all avenues to achieving this in their stadium. As such, they have asked for the Saints supporters’ patience whilst they look at all scenarios to increase our allocation, maintain secure segregation areas and meet all safety criteria in the away end standing and seating areas. Boreham Wood have committed to keep us updated and of course we will keep Saints fans in the loop as and when we get any further news. We have been advised that no further details will be confirmed until Wednesday at the earliest." How about Rebels taking 1,000 to Clarence Park on 29th January? It's in my 2022 diary. Just need to get 1 in every 164 people living in Slough to come!!!
