Rhodes
Just a gentle reminder that the deadline for applications is 31 December, it seems that the criteria remains pretty much the same and Club's down to fifth place in Division Two will be considered for promotion as long as they meet ground grading requirements, floodlighting still unfortunately remains an issue for many of our Step 7 Club's: APPLICATION FOR PROMOTION FROM STEP 7 TO STEP 6 - The Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Football League (pitchero.com)
Rhodes
Does anyone know what became of 'Wader' who used to post on here back in the day and when his beloved Biggleswade Town were still playing at Fairfield, he later built the Carlsberg Stadium in Biggleswade pretty much with his bare hands and is solely responsible for the Club's success today at Step 3 level which would have been unheard of when they were still at Fairfield. You could always go to 'Wader' 'cap in hand' if you had a problem or query about your ground meeting the requirement for promotion and he would be only too pleased to advise or pay a visit prior to the dreaded Official visit from the League, many Club's gained promotion thanks to him. A very nice guy with a big and likeable personality who would give you the shirt off his back: • Clubs are reminded that grading visits are exactly that. They are NOT advisory visits. Clubs are responsible for ensuring that grounds fully comply with the requirements of Grade H prior to agreeing a date for a visit.
