Sounds like a bit of a disappointment down in Stanford Le Hope – but nothing compared to my morning watching Baby Jago’s team blow a very comfortable 2 goal lead with 5 mins to go in a cup match to a team 2 divisions lower. I guess it will “build resilience” – or some such bollox. And the "hatch" ran out of bacon rolls. Then, to add insult to injury, Azerbaijan let me down badly by capitulating to our “friends” in the Emerald Isle, meaning I lost appallingly in the prediction league too. The biggest defeat this season in fact. I try VERY HARD to be inclusive. I like to make you all think I care about you. But sometimes I have to admit it’s ALL ABOUT ME. I’m looking for the positives, but let’s face it, I’ve hit rock bottom. Enough self-indulgence. It’s the BeerFest tomorrow, so an opportunity to reconsider life’s priorities – and, in my case, hit the gin. But it also means I need to get this prediction thing out early while I’m still relatively compos mentis.
