THE EMIRATES FA CUP Third Round Qualifying

Recommended Posts

Karen - Shouldn't you have maybe waited with this thread until Tuesday night after the Hadley v Enfield Town replay, Hadley had their opportunity on Saturday at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium when Enfield Town were very poor. If Hadley lose there won't be any interest in the thread will there although, having said that, what do you think of your tie away to Bromsgrove Sporting:

I did warn Karen that she was being premature in creating this thread before the result of the Hadley v Enfield Town FA Cup Second Qualifying Round replay was known however here is the full Third Qualifying Round draw. Perhaps we can follow the fortunes of former SSML Club's AFC Dunstable, Welwyn Garden City and Aylesbury United:

All three former SSML Club's sadly bowed out of the competition, AFC Dunstable 3-2, Karen's Welwyn Garden City 1-0 and Ollie Bayliss's Aylesbury United 1-0, it's disappointing that one of them didn't make it through.

Just to say what might have been for Karen's Welwyn Garden City had they got through against Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday, Grimsby Town at home in the Fourth Qualifying Round:

I see that Ware bit the dust this evening, losing 3-0 at Kidderminster Harriers and missed an opportunity to go to fellow Step 4 Club Bedfont Sports Club in the Fourth Qualifying Round and a good chance to reach the First Round proper which they have only done twice, in 1968/69 and in 2007/08 when, coincidentally, they lost to Kidderminster Harriers. St Albans City made it through though beating Metropolitan Police 3-1 in their replay at Clarence Park and will now travel to Corinthian Casuals for a chance to reach the First Round proper for the twelfth time in their history (sorry Karen).

Sorry to rub Dead Sea salt into Karen's gaping wounds but Bromsgrove Sporting v Grimsby Town is the live BBC FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round tie next Saturday afternoon:

Bromsgrove Sporting v Grimsby Town in the FA Cup 4th Round Qualifying will be broadcast live by the BBC. The tie will be available on the BBC’s Red Button, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and app at 12:30 BST on Saturday 16 October.

Eight Step Four Club's remain in the FA Cup with the Fourth Qualifying Round taking place tomorrow, it's always one of the highlights of the season and five Step Four sides meet Step One sides:
