“Incompetence” is a much over-used word.  Especially on here.

But I’m sure you’ll all agree I’ve raised the bar by publishing the wrong half-time scores last night... I could blame Footballwebpages for the late night change to the attendance, but life is all about taking personal responsibility.  Or something.

Anyway, this led to some notable achievements:

  • Mr D managed to score 12 in the first half (impressive), and -1 in the second (less impressive),  but still ran out a comfortable winner over my Chintasticos, lifting himself off bottom spot at the same time.
  • Newcomer Clive went from 6-4 up to scrape home 5-4 v The Dummies. 
  • The most spectacular implosion was reserved for The Hatted Urchin: leading 7-6 up at half time before losing 5-9 to a rather dazed and confused Ozz.  I’m sure we will be receiving Mr Hat’s opinion on this shortly.
  • And finally we must mention Adrian, whose comfortable HT lead over COYS disappeared in a puff of evil wizardry to keep him pointlessly rooted at the bottom. 

We are now down to two “hundred percenters” – Luke in Div 1 and MikeMike in Div 2.  Good work men.  But how long will it last?

Golden Boot this week to aforementioned Mike, with Lucky B@st@rd Award to either Clive or COYS, I’m not too sure.  Fat Toms Alarm Clock Award goes to Wivenhoe.

The change of attendance seems reasonable to me as there did seem to be a lot more than 450-ish in the ground.
Fair play to Walthamstow who brought a fair number of friendly and boisterous fans.
!00% eh? I could say it's no more than I deserve but it is fairly obvious it is no more than sheer blind luck as I've lost my enthusiasm for a while - hopefully it will return.

But for the moment I'm sticking with
